Hello,
I have been searching here for product ideas for a long time. In the past 6 months I have been really searching for wonderful hair products that strengthen my hair and don't break the bank.
I used to be an avid straightener. Now I only straighten for special occasions (rare). A while back I used a product made by the Wen company called rejuvanesse (I think) I loved it until I finished the first bottle and started having a massive shedding issue. A lot of my hair just started breaking off and when it as humid the amount of breakage was very obvious.
My fallback is also treseme because I am able to wash and go and my hair feels silky soft. But I want some thing that will help improve my hair health and protect it from fall out. I used a bottle of herbal essence for strengthening and my shedding increased. I've been using a detangler/leave in conditioner by MOA because my hair also became more prone to tangles after using the Wen product. I've tried accure and my hair felt dry. I just purchased loreal ever strong shampoo and conditioner but have onky washed once since.
Any shampoo and conditioner products are welcome!

There is a huge lawsuit going on with Wen + people shedding. Maybe Google it?

I'm sorry you are going through this.

I swear by Mane and Tail shampoo and conditioner for breakage. Some people think the products are quite drying to hair, but I have fairly fine, straight hair, and have not noticed a difference in texture from using the products. You could even just use the conditioner and it works just as well in my opinion (I sometimes mix up my shampoos and conditioners). This brand can be found easily at Walmart or Target. Also try doing scalp and hair treatments with castor oil. I found that my hair grows much stronger just by doing castor oil treatments a couple times a month. If you don't have your hands on castor oil, use olive oil, which also works well.

I'm sorry you had this horrible issue with your hair, but just remember that it can be fixed. There's always a solution!

I've read a lot of good things about Matrix's Biolage Fiberstrong Shampoo for Fragile Hair, I've been meaning to try it out myself because I love their HydraSource conditioner and my hair is also quite fragile, but I just haven't gotten around to buying it yet.:)

Welcome to LHC!

Hey! Welcome im also new here ^_^ I find that avocado oil is extremely nourishing for hair and strengthens the ends and prevents breakage. Heat up about a teaspoon of it in hot water and apply it warm to your hair (not at your roots as its quite hard to get out)! You can leave it in overnight as a nourishing mask and wash it out in the morning! x
