Hi friends,
How exciting to be interviewed about my hair on Metro.co.uk! I was honored when the writer of the article reached out and asked if I would be interested in answering some questions about my hair including any hair care tips. What an incredible opportunity to share my hair story with the world. You can read the full article here: http://metro.co.uk/2017/06/30/what-its-like-to-live-with-hair-so-long-it-falls-to-your-ankles-6745575/

That's so cool, arc691! I hope the public comments are not too rude, sometimes long hair attracts the wrong sort of people.

I found the comments; they're down under the email signup box and the share links and what seem to be links to related stories, in a little purple rectangle that says "Comments" and you have to click the rectangle to see them. There are four comments so far, and only one is rude; the rest are complimentary :).

Wow!!! Congratulations!!! That is so cool!!! :D
I got to this line, "...than those with regular, shoulder length hair", and laughed. After chuckling, I considered, is shoulder length the most common hair length for women? Of course culture plays a strong part, so... Maybe for the UK, where the article was written/printed?

A very nice article and your hair is as lovely as always. I do find it unfortunate though that you reinforce the misconception that hair has to be trimmed regularly and have thick, even ends to grow long. There are a lot of people on LHC with beautiful long hair with fairytale ends.

Yes she was very sweet. She sent me the questions and I wrote back all my answers. They were great questions, I thought!
Thanks so much everyone :) Hopefully no one is upset with my views on regular trims, as with most hair care routines personal preference is always best :) ;)

I don't find your advice about regular trims offensive. I figure if it's how you get your hair long and healthy... that's what people want to know or they can read a different article? "How YOU do your LONG hair." I do love fairy tale ends though! I thin mine out to get them ;) I'll never have them naturally... but I also do not have to trim my hair. I don't have "antique lace" hair... more like rope? Haha but when people see silky hair like yours, not trimming and thinning out the ends would be a nightmare on it! You are giving advice for your hair type and that's important to get out there! Most people with fine hair want to know HOW to get the thicker hair ends! Your hair has inspired me awhile ago in a different thread, though I can't recall which one? I'm definitely going to grow to those extra long lengths now because of your hair! I had never seen nice, ultra long hair before. I'm not sure where I'll end up, but I'm so happy there is a POSITIVE article on your hair! Having had pretty long red hair myself I've had people before tell me to donate my hair too. I tell them YOU grow out YOUR hair and donate it! I'm never sure why other people are ok with telling others what to do... it baffles me! Have some children if you want to tell others what to do lol The worst part is they will NEVER grow their OWN hair out and do what they demand you do... I miss the American values that used to be taught. 1. Mind your own business and 2. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all! You deserve nothing but praise for your "glory" and thank you for blessing us and others with your LONG hair as well!

Congrats! Totally used to read the Metro every day on my way to work.
I enjoyed reading in detail about your CWC routine - a lot of the time when haircare routines are discussed details are skated over, but this time the specifics were in there which I found fascinating, so thank you and thank the writer too :)

I agree, I feel like most people, even on LHC sometimes look down on fairytale or just thinner ends. I don't see where it's that big of a deal, and trimming is overrated :p

No, I wasn't offended either. I found the advice a little odd, because you have to start somewhere with growth and if you get trims say every 6-8 weeks, it ain't gonna grow, you know. ;) I layer my hair and it automatically fairytales as well. Not that much, but still... I like it. :)

Congratulations on getting into the news! Your hair is very beautiful and will inspire lots of people. I, too, find it such a shame that fairy tale ends are down trodden in the article. However with your straight, thick hair blunt ends should be easily obtainable if that's your goal. Can I get a share of the profits for 'fuzzy'? ;) (kidding)
