It occurred to me recently that I missed my three year anniversary of finding LHC back in February, so forgive the super-belatedness. :p
So...I first found LHC in 2014. I had only ever dyed my hair once, in high school (approx. four years before the earliest of these pictures, so the dye had been grown out for a while), and rarely ever used heat, I would flat iron it perhaps once a month for a year, from around the middle of 2012 to the middle of 2013. So as hair goes, mine certainly wasn't as damaged as it could have been, but my main problem was rough handling. I would brush it from root to tip and yank out any small tangles, I had no patience for them, and in high school (and before) I never paid attention to the straps of my backpack or the metal bolts on chairs, and had my fair share of hair yanked out that way as well.
I developed trichotillomania when I was 11 (I am now almost 23) and at its onset over the summer, I absentmindedly pulled out so much hair that my part was around an inch wide - that's 2.5 cm for the metric folks. That was the worst it ever got, thankfully, and I grew 'smarter' in it and pulled most of the hair from just above my ears from then on, so that it was less obvious, but even now I have a problem with pulling any hairs that are shorter, finer, coarser, or have a 'kinky' texture, including from my crown and part, where they are the most common. I suspect that these hairs are weird because of continual damage to the follicles from being repeatedly pulled out for the last 11 years, but I'm no scientist. ;)
Anyway, so here is my first 'length' shot from shortly after I found LHC (circa Feb 2014):

Poor quality because it's from my webcam, but look at all the frizz!
