I'd call this my:
"lazy woman's Dutch braid" or "third day hair chic."
Either way it's a fun way to have a faux-braid that helps my thin hair look a little less sad!
How did you wear your hair today?

I know this is off topic, but I think you have the perfect hair for this hairstyle. I came to think about it when I saw your pic :)

I love the way pull through braids look! I'm too scared of damage from the tiny elastics to do them very often, though. Your hair looks great, Mrs. Day! I wish mine looked that nice on day three lol. Maybe I'll have to try your "Lazy woman's Dutch braid" :).

I will say my hair is not usually this nice and cooperative on day 3. It's so greasy and limp! Tomorrow is wash day finally!

Oh, I used to put my daughters' hair up like that for school sometimes, MrsDay. :D Pretty!
Today my nautilus bun is getting into the groove with my bass clef, so, ummmmm, Boom Bump?

Isn't that called a bubble braid? I think so. :hmm: I could be wrong!

Banded french ponytail? SEctioned ponytail? Sectioned french ponytail?
ETA: I called it in one of my blog's hair style inspiration post a "Segmented (french) ponytail".

Haha, thanks for the inspiration! :D :blossom:
I've tried it on my chin (jawline?) length 3day old hair with faux braids in the front, and actually I like it very much :D
Today I was just struggling with it, most of the day it was in half-up in a small "man bun", but this one feels more natty :)

I'm using silicone elastics, and having the same concerns (my hair is too short and sleek for the padded ones when not in pony or in 2 pigtail). Do silicone elastics bad for hair if not used on wet hair/daily bases?

So pretty! It looks great in your hair.

Those names all make more sense than what I came up with. :o

There are more pics in this post (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=100213&p=3421068&viewfull=1#post3421068), as well as the Etsy links that show the entire bass clefs that Julie from Crockett Mountain Wood made. :)
