Has anyone else order from Evolatree? I bought my very first hair fork from them. I think their products are lovely but, even though they say "hand carved", I can't decide if they're mass produced or not?
I ordered through Amazon but I see them on Etsy as well.

Well, I see that you have hip length iii hair. I got one three-prong fork from them once and it was way too tiny and flimsy to work in my hair. That was just my experience though.

Aw man, that sucks! I have one three pronged fork and it seems to work really well for me. Do you remember if you ordered through Amazon or etsy and how long ago? I'm just curious. I have another one coming so I'll let ya know if I like this one too!

I ordered through their own website. They do seem handmade, but for handmade forks/sticks they're pretty mass produced and low quality in my opinion. I like the style, but they're definitely not sturdy. It was maybe... a year ago? Right around when I joined this forum.

I have two forks and so far they seem hold my hair well. They don't seem flimsy...but they are the only two forks that I own! We'll see how they last! PS/ I'm also in BC!

Thank you :) I haven't really used it since now my hair is longer... not sure it is big enough for a bun.

I have two hair combs (as in to comb hair with) from them. One small pocket sized comb, and one of those double sided combs. Like these.....

I am not sure how one could 'mass produce' these. I would imagine it takes time to sand down the horn or wood, and get it smooth, even if they have a fully mechanized workshop. I wouldn't doubt that once someone gets used to making smooth, hair friendly combs, one could churn them out a bit faster than someone new to making them.

Super late to the party!

I just got the fork I ordered earlier this week. It's a 3-prong fork (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B005ED7LXC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). From Amazon.
It is very lightweight, but holds my fine, bsl hair with no problems.
The little storage bag it came with seems....mass made and kind of useless outside of protecting it for shipping.
LSS - it was inexpensive, it arrived quickly, it works ok. After hearing IRL stories of TSA and amusement park security making long-haired folks remove hair sticks/forks, I wouldn't be pleased to have to take it out and toss it, but it would be less devastating to lose than one I had made or one of the "nicer/pricier" kind.
