A patch of my hairs is stays up?

Hi, I have a patch of my hairs that stays up. Can you tell me what it is and how it can be healed? It happened 3 years ago after I had a hair cut. After that particular hair cut the hairs came back like this. Please see the image below:

Possibly a cowlick. Might need to grow a bit longer on that spot at least so it has some weight to it. Otherwise, oils or gels can tame it to a point.

Yeah, cowlick. Means the hair is too short, so it will stand up. It will get better with length. I agree with Simsy, slicking it down with some gel. Re-wetting every time you get up in the morning, slicking it down with some gel.

Do you have any scaly patches on your scalp like seborrheic dermatitis?
Or, could be a cowlick if there isnt anything to worry about.
