I feel a bit like I'm losing my mind as I can't find what seems so simple anywhere!! I was watching a show and saw a really cute hair clip. It was simple: large, wooden, and looked great for my hair. When I try looking for keywords, all I get are kids clips and beauty supply clips. You guys must know what I'm talking about?! They curve a little. They might have had teeth I couldn't see obviously. It's possible that it only looked like wood.

Am I using the wrong terms? Can anyone tell me if they have any and where they got them?

You mean these banana clips from the 80s?

No :/ It would be like a chopstick....long and straight, but with a bend, and thicker obviously but I'm trying to convey the look

Do you mean wooden hair slides? Like this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/177968250/handmade-wooden-barrette-boho-wood-hair?ref=market

They come in myriads of shapes, sizes and colours - as well as materials.

A beak clip/concord clip perhaps? Shaped like here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/245564976

Sounds like a "beak clip" to me too. They're pretty common, usually don't hold a lot of hair (but are decent as hairsticks that clamp on to stay put), and come in a lot of different finishes. Usually they're plastic or metal, not wood, but I can imagine them being painted to look like wood.

Ficcare calls their version an "innovation" clip. http://www.ficcare.com/innovation-clips
