Hola Hola LHCers.....

Its been a couple of months since the nasty even, in case you want to know here's the link http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=141365

I've moved on the traumatic experience and still deal with depression (I'd like to talk about it in other forum) hopefully I got so much better with help from my beloved ones and spiritual therapy resilience.

Anyways what I actually want to report are my updates about my hair and the sort of enjoyment about it. I´ll keep it short this time, since I realize how bad my English and grammar were sometimes in the past so please bear with me.

These moths have been surprisingly versatile and growing again short hair has been both amazing and a pain the a$$$%. Also I've been editing so much better my pics recently so everything would be pretty much sum up in this post.

Also most of the pics are me showing my face, needed to do it because I've had so many hairstyles is such short time and blocking my face wouldn't really make any justice or show my point so again please excuse me friends; of course I have the length check at the back but its no surprising really.

January

Here's my freshly DIY hair cut after the accident. I had super short razor cut bangs and layers which felt sort of great because I just let it air dry and looked effortless cool.

http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y375/Marino_Torocho/Untitled%201_zps3y4u6azy.jpg (http://s1031.photobucket.com/user/Marino_Torocho/media/Untitled%201_zps3y4u6azy.jpg.html)

February

I don't think the pics I chose here are the best to show, but I absolutely loved this month and the best my haircut looked. It could be 60's mod cool as shown in first picture, sleek back pretty elegant in a side part, or messy emo swoopy bangs just like my teen years and when bangs were annoying I just pinned them back (last pic). Received so many compliments and honestly I felt so great about my physical appearance after the hard experience.

http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y375/Marino_Torocho/Untitled%202_zpsxzucwwyw.jpg (http://s1031.photobucket.com/user/Marino_Torocho/media/Untitled%202_zpsxzucwwyw.jpg.html)

This unfortunately grew so fast and the so horrid awkward length stage kicked in. lucky me this time I sort of know to deal with it without going crazy.

March

Decided to cut my mullet part and had vision in my mind something that resemble a short bob but looked more like a bowl cut on bad hair days. To counteract this I realize was able to braid my hair again and went back to my old trusty and lovely middle part styles. So to save my social life I've got pretty creative with lace dutch braiding, crown braiding and adding head wraps to mimic a bohemian guy updo. This was a very difficult month but I did manage my best to survive it.

http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y375/Marino_Torocho/Untitled%203_zpsuh21elnp.jpg (http://s1031.photobucket.com/user/Marino_Torocho/media/Untitled%203_zpsuh21elnp.jpg.html)

So proud about my braids and the neat cut I did.

http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y375/Marino_Torocho/P1260015_zpsdpta0t3z.jpg (http://s1031.photobucket.com/user/Marino_Torocho/media/P1260015_zpsdpta0t3z.jpg.html)

http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y375/Marino_Torocho/P1260093_zps53sduclk.jpg (http://s1031.photobucket.com/user/Marino_Torocho/media/P1260093_zps53sduclk.jpg.html)

April

So here’s my hair slowly covering my ears thus giving a nice step into the bob territory (looking pretty dorky sometimes). I went completely minimalistic leaving it down. My layers are the anooying stage in which they flick out (uggh) so I have to plug in the straightener to either make it smooth and sleek (grey pic) or add some body waves (pic with tree leaves). I'm again able to put it in a messy top knot and that is giving me hope to feel like a long hair person again.

http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y375/Marino_Torocho/Untitled_zpss6c3md8n.jpg (http://s1031.photobucket.com/user/Marino_Torocho/media/Untitled_zpss6c3md8n.jpg.html)

Curls made with a flat iron that look cool in my opinion and my scalp parting 3 months after the wounds.

http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y375/Marino_Torocho/P1260327_zps1vmzaq7c.jpg (http://s1031.photobucket.com/user/Marino_Torocho/media/P1260327_zps1vmzaq7c.jpg.html) http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y375/Marino_Torocho/P1260281_zpsumplilrv.jpg (http://s1031.photobucket.com/user/Marino_Torocho/media/P1260281_zpsumplilrv.jpg.html)

And here's the length comparison at the back. You can see my hair is looking blunter and the mullet trims helped a lot to make it into a nice smooth style, pretty important for me in order to archive nice healthy long hair again and not ratty thin ends.

http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y375/Marino_Torocho/LENGHT%20COMPARASION_zpsvsv3wshv.jpg (http://s1031.photobucket.com/user/Marino_Torocho/media/LENGHT%20COMPARASION_zpsvsv3wshv.jpg.html)

Go goin from super chop razor short hair to a wanna be layered bob in 3 and a half moths seem like a nice progress.

I ultimatly want to regrow my hair long no matter my old scalp damage or ideas about my own ideal perfection.... Just like my happy free hippie flowy soul!!!

Welcome back from your sabbatical. It is good that you have crossed over from your horrendous experience full of life and newfound creativity.

Your moving forward shows that your spirit cannot be trapped by disappointments and any malicious intent towards you. Now is your time. So stretch your wounded wings, healing is for all and fly :cheer:

I was going to say your braids and topknot look good... but then I looked again and so do the body wave and smooth styles too, so. You're just rocking your way through the awkward stage, and it looks like you'll be back to your longer lengths in no time! We hadn't spoken before, but it's nice to see you back and better!

Welcome back!

You should be super proud of those braids!!! Dutch braids were difficult when my hair was that short, and they were SO slippy! I had to pin them every few inches, or they slid out. :) (My hair slides out of french braids, still! *sigh* )

Your hair looks great! I'm envious of your thickness. *grabby hands*

I hope you can beat back the depression. DD20 has it, and it can be debilitating for her. :grouphug:

I hadn't seen the thread where you were leaving, since I was taking a break from LHC to focus on other things, but I've just read through it and I agree with what everybody said. I'm very glad you're back, and feeling better :). Your hair looks great; looks like the scars are well covered.

Having dealt with emotional trauma myself (several years ago, people I trusted and looked up to turned against my family and destroyed life as I knew it), I know recovery isn't easy. But it is possible to find hope and happiness again, even though the memory may still be painful. I hope you make a full recovery, and I'm sure your hair will be long again soon! :flower:

Omg dear your hair is growing so fast it seems!!! Amazing! And your happy free hippie flowy soul is shining through no matter the hair length!
I bet your hair will be shoulder in no time!

I hope so, I miss having my hair all over the place and shoulder is right where I feel comfortable to let it do its thing natural and such. Love simplicity.

Lovely to see you back, and your hair is growing so fast! It's healthy, too:) Now you can reach for the stars!

Reaching so high seems like so distant. Yet and for now I'll go for my old APL lenght and see if I can make it to waist.

Welcome back! Ooh I love all your styles! Some of the photos are like seeing The Beatles hair style evolution in few pic (they should totally have worn bobs and braids!)

He he he. Actually while I was sort of having bad hair days I remember checkin your hairstyle gallery and literally saved my day and inspire me. I feel very grateful for having your aprobation since you know very well how short hair can be versatile and fun. He he he In my weird mind I try to embrace the late 60's style-living and having the beatles reference feels fairly good to me. I don´t think I suit such Willy Wonka bob but braids always save the day for whatever ugly thing is happening! Thanks Artic I have to check again that gallery and practice some of your styles!

Fantastic growth, and I love how you have embraced and are enjoying your short hair while it lasts.

I have sort of embrace it. Somedays I just want to cut it again so I have a nice down style and other I could literally wear a straight wig just to feel something down my back again. Hopefully I've been though this in the past and coping with patience is the key to survive.

You are rocking every stage! I love your hairstyles! Wishing you all the best!

Thanks, its important to me pull off a lot of styles while growing. Sometimes its pretty amazing and other I literally want to hide under a box. Ha ha

Welcome back! :grouphug:
Your hair is growing great. I love the shine, colour, everything. You're a dark haired idol for us :p, I wish I had that shine!

Thanks, you are also a dark long idol Midnight Moon. I've always had a thing for the blackest and most shiny dark color, but trust me my hair is pretty avarage on real life and hairspray ironically gives that nice shine when it actually shines!

It's good to have you back. :)

And wow, you have some serious styling and braiding skills! Every picture is so different and awesome.

Great that someone actually appreciates my efforts, sometimes people ask me whi did it for me and the look both shocked and with a wtf face... but the good comments from people who seem to like hair are what count... so flatered.

Hi, I'm glad to see you back! Your hair is looking good and I can hardly believe how fast it's growing! You'll have long hair again in no time.

Thanks my dear friend. Well, can't believe the damage I have yet it is still strong and looking great. Yours seems to be doing just like those words you've written. Im amazed byt your length and condition as well.

Languagent gotta say your testimony emotional experience feels like a nice relief to sometimes very crappy and awful life events, but you seem geniouly to talk from a place in heart and I do sure apreciate it! Well I have scars but oily hair and certain updos can show some scalp cleavage and im trying to lear to embrace it without hiding it like a mad person.

:o:o:o I´m gettin proud of it and trust me my hair is also the king of sliperyness. I honestly feel my hair looks pretty avarage in terms of thickness I mean it is super finey and compacts like crazy in updos, and you Susan have proved me how wrong I was about..... Seriously there is a charming thing about our texture that looks healthy and lovely. Hope your daughter is doing fine, inconditional love from such special person in her life like you is beyong helpful.

And to me you are a hair idol love the before pixie and your after long shiny hair! Nice to see again as well

TO ALL WHO I WEIRDLY DIDNT RESPOND HAVE TO SAY I FEEL THE HAPPIEST KID FOR THE KIND WORDS AND RETURN IT IN A WAY IN OTHER POST. YOU ALL ARE SO DIFFERENT YET BEAUTIFUL IN A RICH MANNER. I THANK YOU WATCH THIS FREAKY GUY IN ITS JOURNEY TO LONG HAPPY HAIR.

I believe this site is starting to have good eyes for short hair. Used to believe only people with crazy 6 inch thick braids were the proper LHCers. I no longer believe that, but if I hit waist again i would feel much more rewarded. Thanks man!
