I sometimes do a simple braided headband using just one two strand twist. Sometimes I use two cornrows that cross over. I've looked up some on Youtube.

Oh well, you can save it for your days off.

Here's another one I found.

I tried the Dutch braid headband in the third video, and it came out pretty well for a first try. Sadly I didn't get any pictures, as I tried it in the evening and don't generally get good pics in our indoor lighting (everything comes out grainy and greenish, except in the bathroom which isn't a whole lot better).

I'll try the style again and make sure to get pictures :).

It's good to hair that it came out well for your first try. I've done that one before when I was a child. I used to do that before I could do the usual cornrows and I could only do my front. Mostly I find it quicker to flat twist these days.

Okay, I took some pictures outside; it was windy so there's some hair blowing around, but it's not too bad.

Here's the one that came out best; it's taken from the ending side of the braid:

Sorry they always come out huge when I use my real camera (instead of my phone) and post to my album instead of going through Blogspot.

I'll just link to the other three pictures:
