Here's a progress picture guys. Would appreciate any thoughts^^
Also is 3C the right type? Any threads to check? I plan to keep on growing so maybe you have some ideas on how to decrease volume and go to a more lengthy look? Just share your mind :))

I think 3c is pretty accurate. As for lengthy look, I'm not much help. I think you just have to wait until your hair grows out more so your hair can start weighing its self down, decreasing your volume.

I'm not very good at labeling hair types, but it looks like your hair is really gaining great length through your picks. Your last one shows your nice curls hanging down over your eyes, so I imagine it won't be long before you start to see it coming down toward your shoulders more. As for volume, the only thing I have found to zap it away so far was oil. That or a flat iron which I don't think is worth it at all. There are different ways to set your hair for styling it wet to dry that may help. For example, some pin their hair down all over for straight pieces and let it dry all night, or sleep in wet curlers. Maybe some experimenting may help a bit? Worth a shot. Sorry I couldn't be of much help.

Wow congratulations on your 19th month anniversary.
Your hair is looking extremely healthy. It looks like whatever you have been doing to it has been working. What have you been doing to it?
Don't mess with your routine if it works.
You could try the ROO (rinse out oil method) using maybe a heavy castor oil or try the LOC styling method. It would help and stop your hair from getting too "big" when dry.
As your hair starts growing longer train it to grow down wards using your fingers. I have not used flaxseed gel (you will have to make your own.) But you could try that too.
Good luck and enjoy your hair growing experience.

The photos made it difficult for me to type your hair. Sometimes the curls look big and sometimes they look smaller not sure if you had any product on your hair. I am viewing on my phone.
Maybe wait for your hair to grow a little longer and then type it. Also remember you are not to have any product on it for typing.
For now I would say 3b/c mix. But I could be wrong.
ETA: The pictures are small to view.

I'd say they look bigger when it's combed (which I rarely ever do). And nope, I don't use any products.

If you want it to be more defined and curl up (as if when wet), then you need to use products on it (stylers, a leave-in, serum/oil, cream or gel). If you want to go without products, that's your prerogative. :)

^^This. But likewise, using some type of leave-in product can also help give your hair weight and decrease volume if that's what you're looking for. I'm not as curly as you so I don't know if my product recs would work, but as someone mentioned earlier, oil seems to help me a lot in decreasing volume and giving weight to my hair. Using a nice moisturizing leave-in conditioner can help too. Check out the LOC method and the ROO method or just experiment with damp or dry oiling. It may take a bit of trial and error but there is certainly something out there that will get you the look you want. :o

BTW, both of those methods are linked in my signature. You do need to adapt it to your hair. For 2 hair and 3 hair smaller amounts are fine. Tighter type 3 hair or 4 hair might need more product. So... if you have questions on the methods, please do ask them in the threads themselves so I can get back to you a little more easily, OP. Thanks! :D

Okay, here's why I don't use products. It's because I fail to comb my hair easily. And by trying leave-in(s) before I noticed that if the hair is not combed and 100% detangled then leave-ins just make the tangles worse. Same for oils.
I can comb my hair but something tells me I am doing it wrong. It takes quite the time. I notice tons of breakage and just 2 days later I notice the tangles are re-forming in the same places (sides are thr worst (around ears)). Also when I comb it then it goes dry yhe top of my head serms empty lol. I guess my main problem lies in combing. Gosh I even can go months without even running a comb or a brush through just because of the frustration and breakage.
Do I need to trim the ends? They always form small knots around each other. I am talking about a hair forming a knot with itself (happens on daily basis).
I believe if I can comb ot easily products would then make sense but right now when I only comb it once in 2-3 months products as I said just makes it tangle.
Suggest combs/brushes and methods to get less breakage maybe products that make the combing easier?
PS: combing dry is just impossible and combing wet causes a lot of breakage so I am lost ://

Try finger detangling on damp hair. It will take a bit of time, make sure you are relaxed doing it. That way you can stick to using a comb every couple of months. My hair get defined without product. I do put a tiny bit of oil on the hair ends but most of the length is product free. This works for me because I do water only rinses so I can count on my sebum. I think the hair will begin to hang more when it gets to shoulder length or longer.

Welcome, Bandedloot!
I can't offer any real advice for your hair type, but there may be some in the 420+ pages of the Kinky 4's thread http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=1881. You may also find some advice on another board https://longhaircareforum.com/

Hi! At some point you will need to start using products. You also need to do regular DT'S which will reduce your single strand knots.
My story: I oil wash or water only wash. As shampoo tends to mess with both my hair and scalp. While the water is running I check for tangles loosen any and comb the hair on my canopy using my fingers. Next I apply conditioner while my hair is still soaking and squeeze out the excess. I don't apply conditioner and rinse it out as it is a waste. When I am finished in the shower I will do my LOC.
For two and a half days my hair is manageable with just gentle finger combing and still hydrated. On the 3rd day after wash I lightly oil and comb my ends. The next morning I comb a little and gently touch up my canopy. By the end of the 4th day I would have combed all my curls out and any little tangles if there were.
Regular deep treatments have helped me not get any tangles, during my non combing days. However if I don't comb, this creates more knots, tangles, breakage and physical stress. Shed hair creates more damage being left to tangle with the other strands.
My hair is longer so this makes it easier to comb.
You will need to consider doing things to reduce damage caused by handling and the elements. While your hair is still in good condition start considering. This will save your hair length later.
As EdG and lapushka said try those links. They are wise with years of experience.

Flaxseed gel has been the best styler for my curly hair to date. I apply it in a smoothing motion when my hair is wet and let it dry. It's really easy to make, or you can buy it, and does a great time at stretching and moisturizing my curls.

Normally you wash the hair, then slather it in conditioner. The conditioner will help you comb out your hair. You need to do it wet with either a wide tooth comb or brush (like a Tangle Teezer). Be gentle and patient, and comb from the ends upwards towards the root. After this, you rinse out the conditioner. Then you put your hair in a t-shirt or towel; after it comes out of the towel is when you put your leave-in in, your oil, and your gel or cream.
