My hair is taking a beating with the well water. I'm thinking of paying for city water so I can grow longer and still have it look good.

I wonder why that is? I've heard generally great things about well water for hair (though I know it can vary from location to location). Is it worth trying filters first, perhaps? Good luck!

There are generally more minerals in well water, and those often don't do very well with hair. Mineral rich water can wreck havoc on hair health, although this is highly individual, some people have no problems with mineral rich water.

Some options:
- chelating shampoos
- miracle water
- other acidic rinses (different acids work on different minerals)
- using filtered water partially or wholly to wash your hair (partially as in saturating your hair with it before washing and/or doing a final rinse with it)
- shower filters/filtering systems
