Curlies' curl diameter?

As someone who's mildly wavy at best, classification of curls is a bit mystifying to me.

I tend to think that curliness classifications probably have more to do with curl diameter (maybe 3a >1"; 3b 1-0.5", etc), but I really don't know if this holds up.

So I'm asking: curlies, what type are you, and what is the approximate diameter of a curl?

I think I am a 3b/3c. My curls are about 0.5"-1" in diameter.

I'm a 3b, 1 to 3 cm diameter. They are much smaller at the temples.

I am probably more 3a than 2c and my curls AVERAGE about 1/2 inch to 3/4 inches I think. That's a hard question. I never really thought about it. It also depends on what products I use and how I dry it, how long it's been since wash day etc. but you probably know that!
