Three years on LHC! (pics)

Hello! Just wanted to share the progress on my hair journey. I'm a little disappointed because I can't seem to locate all the progress pictures I had but I will go ahead and post the ones I could find, and of course where my hair is now. :)

I joined LHC in 2013 but didn't start taking pictures and participating until 2014. Picture quality wasn't the greatest in all of these, just a heads up. :p

Here is kinda where I started around March 2014, almost at APL.

This was right after a trim I had in August 2014.

I reached BSL in March 2015. This was an exciting time for me because I hadn't had hair this long since I was young.

This was after a trim I had in August 2015. This was my avatar photo for a while on here :)

I took this picture for the seasonal growth project thread...March 2016. Waist length. Longest I had ever had my hair in my life. Didn't think waist was even in the cards for me. Yay!

And here we are today, well yesterday. Hip length I think. Body markers are getting more difficult at this point lol.

This was also the first time I straightened my own hair since joining LHC, and after my first real self-trim (my ends like to flip up/out so it made it easier). I always let hairdressers straighten my hair to trim so was excited to get to do it all myself. :)
I have tried self-trims in the past but took off such small amounts that I don't think they really qualified as "trims". I took off half an inch here and plan to do that again in August.
(Trim style inspired by Spidermom's method- split my hair into 2, pulled to the front and held with a scrunchie and cut the very ends. I did it exactly like the second method in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgYVImOwYiI)


Anyways, I'll probably start maintaining pretty soon...once I reach BCL solidly maybe.

I agree, it looks like you would be close to TBL soon, congrats! :) Your body waves do look very beautiful in your March 2016 picture :p If you do end up finding the other progress pictures, I would love to see them! You have had such lovely progress, almost APL-almost TBL in three years is quite the leap, and your ends still look thick and healthy!
