Has anyone been to a curl ambassadors salon?

I saw an old friend today and complimented on her hair and new colour. It looks very healthy and full and has a similar texture to mine. She says that she goes to Curl ambassadors salon and that your first wash and style is only $20.

I've been reading some reviews online and they're kind of mixed. I haven't seen many with my texture reviewing on the site.

As I said, the first time is only twenty dollars so I'll probably try it out anyway. Any opinions or experiences?

Here is their website: http://www.curlambassadors.ca/

If you're growing it out, I'd not go get a "shape up". Just MMHO. :flower:
They might cut more than you bargain for, but if you're all for an entire new cut, then go for it.

I'm really just interested in the styling honestly. I don't know how to deal with my hair in it's natural, curly state, I always stretch it with buns or braids before doing anything with it.

There's nothing wrong with that! At all. Maybe look at a few videos on YT of how to do a wash and go; I think that would be better than to go to a salon with unexpected results. Part of growing is learning how to do your hair, and you just have to do a little research on that, I think.

I'll give you a few links of women I find awesome:

The "Curly-Doo" service for $20 might be worth it, but I caution the cut. I've had curly cuts (some Dva certified, some not) and I am now in the painstaking process of growing out all those layers, as they make updos hard. My layers start at jaw length and end at below APL. I'm not talking about a compact cut here. That would be more even. If you just want to have them show you how to style a wash and go, fine. But a Deva/curly/dry cut is a whole different thing and may set you back. Plus, I think the layers are making it harder to protect my ends. Just my two cents.

I'm actually in the process of growing out natural layers so I know what you mean lol. I'm still debating, maybe for my birthday? Either way, if I end up going I'll be sure to do a review on here.
