2nd hairversary of Kiiruna!

It's that time of the year again! Wow, time sure flies by... :D
The thing is, I've been a (proud) member of this wonderful society for two years now (well, close enough at least). It's been a rough road with its ups and downs.

This was my hair when I joined. Cbl, 50.5 cm (19.8 inches?), fried and damaged. I spent my first year trimming damage. I would put March -16 picture as well but I don't have a high quality picture since my hard drive broke. In 2016 I started to gain more length because I ditched most of my trims and trimmed in February, April and December.

And this is my hair now. Bsl, 68 cm (26.7 inches?), still damaged but now under control and careful maintenance - and longer. Perm curls are blending in pretty much perfectly and my demarcation line is around chin or something. This year I'm going to concentrate on gaining length and try to reach waist so I can start maintain there, trimming off damage and layers. I still have 12 cm to go, so I may or may not reach it this year - but I'll be soooo close!

Looking good. And to be honest I can't see much of a demarcation line in your hair. It's very, very faint and you have to know it's there if it's visible at all. If you hadn't told me it was there I would probably only have thought it was a shift in your natural colour.

You have gone a long way already ! Be positive and think that every day you get closer to your goal. That demarcation line is hardly visible to a random observer so I think that it's a good idea indeed to enjoy some length before you start trimming again. Because on a more selfish way, I'm looking forward to admiring your hair once it's all virgin and longer because I think you have a very long wave-length pattern that will develop and appear more and more as long as you grow :eye: :) :)

I can't wait to see what it looks like in next two years! I'd be thrilled to find some waves, but even more I'm waiting for working with virgin hair and learning more about my hair type and porosity etc. etc., because processed hair is just soooo different.
