Shepherdess

Hi Everyone! It was a busy day, so didn't have a chance to post until now.
I thought that since I joined back in February 24, 2012, I would share some pictures since then. I may not have made a lot of progress in all that time, due to some horrible sheds and some brittle strands, but in spite of the ups and downs I think I made it through those spots. Hope this can encourage others who have also had a major shed.
I made more progress in 2012-1013 (42.5 to 47 inches in 6 months in 2012, then to 49 inches by the end of 2013).

(this picture was taken when my hair was wet so it isn't curling as much, it was just brushing knee at this point)
2014
I had a major shed in 2014 that really thinned out my ends, so I trimmed back to just about classic (43-44"), so I started back at my original point again at about this time.

As you can see, my hair looks really thin in these pictures compared to before, this shows before (left) and after my trim (right).

(I think it might have been 46" here?)
I went through some stalls in growth off and on for a while (might have been due to the hair from my major shed coming back again), so it took a while to get back to 46-47", but it started growing a bit again after the middle of 2016. This was also the year that I started learning about the curly girl method and how to better care for my curls.

My hair has grown a bit more since 2016 and since last I checked was somewhere around 49"-50" when stretched, but my ends are very very thin so I started microtrimming again at the beginning of this year and since then at the start of each month to see if that would improve them. One thing I am so happy about is that my hair thickness has slowly been returning, even though my ends are thin, it feels good to have my ponytail feeling back to normal.

I decided to let my hair curl for these pictures, wasn't sure which picture helped show the length more, so thought I would post both. Sorry that my hair turned out really frizzy this time, it doesn't always behave. :silly:
*Also, my hair color is odd in some of these pictures due to bad quality camera and lighting. My most recent pictures show my actual color more (2015-2017).
