Wondering if this is a variation of something? Thinking possibly a variation on the disc bun or lwb, but not sure.

Starting with hair held in a pony base, split in to two sections horizontally, separated by index finger. (In left hand)
Top section then wrapped anti-clockwise over two middle fingers, under little finger and round pony base.
Bottom section then wrapped around pony base helping anchor ends from top section in same direction.
Stick inserted in loop between two middle fingers, under pony base catching scalp hair, and back up over loop at the bottom.

Any idea folks?

This is how I do a sectioned LWB. When I say sectioned I mean the technique where you make a bun (in this case lwb) with one section of hair, then wrap the remaining section around the base created by that bun, pin/clip/stick into place. I find this version holds sturdier for me than a regular lwb, since my length is a slipmonster most days. (eta: not sure if this variation has a separate label/name, though)

Oh, I like this! LWBs don't stay in my hair super well yet since it isn't that long, but they look so pretty!

Mines just BSL, and this has held up pretty well all day today. Normally lwb will fall out in a fairly short time. (I did add a strategic spin pin as we were going outside and it's windy!

It looks good (for a bun).
