Here's a picture of my hair taken at the beginning of this month (the quality isn't stellar so apologies for that):
https://s23.postimg.org/84oyrlegr/1_1_17_EDIT.jpg

I've worn it up for months without thinking about it much, but now I'm getting bored so I find myself floating around various threads trying to figure out where I "belong" these days.

I am thinking shoulder but it's so tapered (this is what a pixie does if you don't trim it y'all) that I'm not sure what to call it length-wise.

I used to think I was around a 1c/2a but now I'm wondering if it's more like a 2a or even b. After I wash the waves are very sproingy and then they smooth out after a few days which is fine because I find I like it sleeker. This is a few days post wash but once it gets longer and has some weight this is about how it hangs. It's probably too short to type properly but wondering what you all think.

Thanks :flower:

A photo from the back would be more helpful. Though you're right it still may be too short to tell. I'd call the length collarbone length (CBL).

I'm thinking it's at least 2a, possibly 2b (especially near your face). My hair looked straighter at that length than yours, for comparison.

Length... eh, I'd call it collarbone based on the length in the back. Because of the difference front to back, you could call it something that sounds nice, like "collarbone with natural layers."

Bahahahaha thanks Anje, I'll go with that :)

Lithostoic, thanks for the feedback. I'll get one from the back and post it when I get home from work since I know that's more standard, I just wanted to show the taper from front to back. Also my cameraphone sucks.

I'm thinking 1c, that to me is a body wave. But a picture from the back would be more useful.

Here's a proper length shot:

...and the front with longest pieces stretched:

Your hair looks a lot like mine, So I'd say 1c/2a and collarbone.

I think you are in the 2s, but can't say where exactly yet.

I love your wave pattern and you have now that "cool gorl" vibe going on :)

At the very least 2a. Prob 2a/b because of the wavelength.

You are collarbone, and definitely in the 2s. Unless you do a typing photo it's hard to tell.

Freshly washed hair that hasn't been manipulated/touched in any way while it's drying is the best way to type hair, but I can see remnants of braid waves in the pics you've posted, so would say you're at least 2b and at collarbone length.

lithostoic, Anje, lapushka, Andthetalltrees, Arctic, Alissalocks, pili, and Cristawni thank you all for the feedback

Yay, CBL!! I had totally forgotten that was even a milestone! :happydance:

I know I haven't really done a proper typing picture but I figured it wasn't long enough to get an accurate read anyway, I was just curious what people thought at this stage. I thought it had to be around BSL to really type it (though now I can't remember where I got that so maybe I'm wrong). When it gets a bit longer I'll do the clarify/don't touch it while it dries thing and post another (probably more accurate) picture.

Your wave pattern is pretty tight so I imagine by APL you'll be able to get an accurate typing c:

Good to know! I'll try again at APL and see if that works :)

I'd say 1c/2a or even 2a now!
