I love doing my annual Rudolf Bun. This year I upped the ante with a flashing nose. It was a big hit at school with staff and students alike. http://i1175.photobucket.com/albums/r639/mandy_hall1/IMG_8093_zpskwjzlx5a.jpg (http://s1175.photobucket.com/user/mandy_hall1/media/IMG_8093_zpskwjzlx5a.jpg.html)

The google eyes are hot glued to bobby pins. I usually have a pom-poms nose on a bobby pin too. The flashing nose is on a long piece of elastic which I thread though the centre and around the bun. Not perfectly hair safe but it's once or twice a year and I am careful about it.

That is awesome!! I got one of those bun maker kits with all the little pin accessories to stick in and look like Rudolph, but the bun form was so small and I couldn't fit my ponytail through the hole. I imagine maybe it was intended to be for kids. I didn't consider that when I bought it lol.

We went to Carils on the Canals" last night and I did my daughter's bun to match. She also has far too much hair for a bun donut so I simply did a braided bun. You can easily add the antler head sets, googly eyes and a nose to any type of bun for the same effect. My daughter and I would love to see it if you give it a go.

Copperlites, the picture with you and your daughter's matching buns is so sweet!
Ok I'm glad you encouraged me to try it without the bun form because it still worked just fine! I don't know why I didn't think to try it on just a regular bun. Lol
Here is mine:

Ohh Llama, That is so adorable... and you are so coordinated with your beautiful tree. Without antlers , with bigger ears, you could do a llama bun!!!

These are adorable! Now I want to see more holiday hair! Someone shared a photo of ladies whose hair was up in beehives made into Christmas trees! Definitely head turning!
