Fresh cut for the new year!

I did the "No Trims 2016" challenge. From Dec. 23, 2015 - Dec. 6, 2016, I went with NO trims whatsoever, except to my bangs! I decided partway through the year that I was going to grow my bangs out again, and discovered that I'm not a fan of how I look without bangs.

So, here's my hair after a year of no trims! Washday pics, hair was straightened to better show the length.

Without bangs, I kind of just look like I'm being taken over by hair.

In the above picture, you can see that I DO have bangs, but they're long enough that they blend in unless my hair is up. I mostly took this just to show off that goofy little sideburn whurl that I can never get rid of.

I really think the bangs flatter my face more. My hair feels so soft and smooth, and the hairdresser had to take off less than I anticipated so I'm pretty dang happy. DBF got me some new shampoo and conditioner that I'm excited to try. And I'm so, so happy that I managed to defeat the pixie monster. I love my hair!! :cheer:

Nice hemline and wow your hair is so thick! Are you sure you are ii/iii? My hair used to be ii/iii and is (was) much thinner than yours.

Your hair looks great and refreshed after your trim, not that the before pic looked bad, but the trim is really nice. Your hair is lovely and thick, and I really like the bangs. Which btw was a confusing term when I first heard it. What the heck were bangs! I had to ask my American friend to clarify.

Why not join the 2017 no-trimming challenge. I even made 2 halves for just doing half a year, should you want it (be sure to get the proper thread then). Your hemline is just great, I think you could go without trimming for a long time, should you want to. ;) Stick to the proper calendar dates though, it is a proper year. ;)

Thank you!! The last time I measured my ponytail, it was 4 inches. I think that was right on the cusp of ii/iii and iii, so I rounded down. =D

As you can see, my bangs were getting out of hand. I did trim them today, but I don't have a pic yet. My front-facing camera on my phone is on its last legs, so I can't get a decent picture at the moment.

Thank you so much! I had to trim them yesterday, I'll have to get an updated picture up. They were poking my eyeballs and making my glasses dirty, lol! They'll be back that long in about 4 days (or so it seems).

Thank you! I did a LOT of fiddling around in Paint, drawing a straight line and fiddling around with it to see if I was really APL. I think I'm at "Can I call this APL?", but not solidly there yet. Should be there by next month =D
