I am going to do a green tea rinse tonight. My hair was last washed Sunday morning, but it needs a rinse. I made the green tea, and it is cooling. Can someone please provide me instructions how I should do this? I know I need to focus it on the scalp, but do I use conditioner after? Shampoo before? Just wondering because this is my first rinse EVER and I want it to turn out decent! I need some basic instructions! :)

The thing with rinses is people use them at any point of their haircare regimen. Try it as a final step, since it is acidic, and rinse it out after a few minutes. If, over time, your hair gets a bit hard, use it before your conditioner. The tannins in tea can act as a mild protein treatment, so you can use this as a gauge to see if your hair like protein. I suggest using an applicator bottle to target the scalp and reduce mess.

Do your normal wash routine with whatever products you use. Then rinse your hair with the tea. It's pretty straightforward. If you can find a sports bottle to put the tea in it will help to shoot the liquid on the scalp/roots.
You could also use a pitcher or a large cup while holding your head over the bath-tub, catch the liquid in a pot or vessel of some sort and repeat a few times.
Or you could dunk your head in a pot full of green tea and soak for a few minutes.
Happy rinsing! :flower:
