I took a mini photoshoot of my hair in celebration of my 10 year anniversary here on LHC. I started growing my hair back out after a trim that turned into a hip length to a shoulder length ugly haircut. I was very upset. I had never before had short hair. The journey was not always fun because my hair grows strangely. It grows at different speeds and my ends end up being see through. I also had a few hair growth stalls that lasted for a few years at a time. My hair routine is to wash once a week. I comb with a wide tooth wooden comb and have been applying coconut oil to my ends for about 6 years. I always air dry my hair and have started using henna. I never use heat on my hair and have been wearing it up everyday for the past year. Six weeks ago I started the following routine, on wash day, I apply aloe vera straight from the leaf to my scalp along with coconut oil and egg on top, wrap in plastic, leave for an hour then shampoo with African Black soap. I think it has led to some hair growth. The egg helps cut the oil out of my hair. I actually love the fairytale ends!!
