Lately I've been experimenting with using invisible hair nets as braid tassel protectors-
i braid down to the tassel, tie it off with one tiny elastic which is not twisted and doubled,
then temporarily pin the hairnet to the elastic so as to stabilize it,
gather the tassel inside it and wrap the rest around the elastic.
Apply one more tiny elastic at the base of the tassel to keep the extra wrapped hairnet in place.

The hairnet disappears nicely, the tassels look fuller and are quite protected.

That's such a clever idea! Thanks so much for sharing! :D

I definitely like wrapping my braid or braided bun in silky scarf for the night - it really helps keep frizz at bay and protects the style overnight.

I play with my tassle when I wear a braid so this is probably a good idea for me.

Do you have photo of how it looks?

Sorry, don't know how to do photos here-
But if someone else can, great.
It's very easy to accomplish the style though and hairnets are very inexpensive

I would like to see what this looks like as well! About uploading photos-- I'm not sure if there may be an easier method of adding photos, but I always just go to a photo uploading site (i.e. Tinypic) and upload the photo there.
Then you just copy the url that begins in [IMG] and paste it here!

Has anyone done this? I can't visualize it.

I love this Idea, I sleep with my hair in a braid (and on a silk pillow) but I read a lot about people who hate sleeping in braids because of the tassle damage. Stealing this!
