I've now got face framing curls...and I LOVE them! I'll get a good picture of them tomorrow. Now my question is...

I've got my hair up in somewhat of a loose bun (so it's still wavy/curly looking) but I've a so many pins and hidden claw clips in order to make it secure. Any suggestions or do I just need to use lots of pins?

Hair scroos? I find I need much less scroos than I would need pins or claws. They hold really really well.

I don't know. One well-placed good day hairpin is all I need to secure a bun. A couple more to hold it perfectly and solidly.

Hairpins and bobby pins are a different matter. Perhaps try a different product (like the good days)

Thank you guys for some ideas. I've tried hair scroos and I just couldn't get them figured out for some reason. I do have some Good Day ones and today I'm wearing a couple. I had forgotten how well they worked. Although my hair doesn't like to let go of them very well.

Here's a picture.

You look great! I love soft buns and tendrils. Do you have any of the longer Amish pins? I think the longest ones are 3". Hair forks are also good for secure buns.

WOW that's cute. Serious curl envy here!! I can never pull such a style off, my hair is much too straight.

But you look wonderful, you have such a beautiful face. Excuse me but you looked as though you stepped straight out of a Jane Austen movie. Lovely, lovely.

Terrific! I find that a fork gives me the best hold.

Very pretty. I keep thinking about cutting a few wispy bangs or tendrils but I'm too chicken... You look gorgeous.

Love the curls! You do look like a Regency heroine. :D I find hairsticks give me the best hold with the least fuss, but I've heard Ficcares work well for people, too. If I can't find my stick I go with wavelength pins, and two or three of those hold well if I get them in right.

I seriously have curly envy right now from looking at your pic!

Your curls look great! They really soften the updo. I second the Jane Austen comment. Wow!
