Hello lovely long hairs.
I have been silicone free for quite awhile however, I know of at least one silicone conditioner my hair really loved -- Kiehl's Olive Fruit Oil Nourishing Conditioner. It has only one silicone in it, amodimethicone.
I want to slowly try silicones again, starting with the one I know my hair did well with in the past. The Kiehl's is a great conditioner but I'm not interested in spending that much money on a single product again so I turn to you: do you know of any other conditioners (be it rinse out, leave-in, or I'm even willing to consider stylers like a serum or cream) that have amodimethicone but no other silicones in them?
Also, that preferably don't break the bank. :agree:
Thanks everyone!

What about the Tresemme perfectly undone, it contains:
Water , Cetearyl Alcohol , Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine , Macrocystis Pyrifera ExtractKelp , Behentrimonium Chloride , Fragrance , Dipropylene Glycol , Lactic Acid , Potassium Chloride , Disodium EDTA , Methylchloroisothiazolinone , Methylisothiazolinone
No silicones, I don't think. The bolded is a silicone "replacement" - whatever that means. :)
My favorite Herbal Essences Hello Hydration has a few silicones, and it's not what you want, I'm afraid... It's a great conditioner and detangler, though - if I'm at all convincing you. ;)

Oh I have used Tresemme Perfectly Undone. I liked it actually! It did feel a bit heavy, I wonder if that was because of the ingredient you bolded.
I have seen you turn others on to HE Hello Hydration! It's definitely in the back of my mind, but I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet hee hee. ;D
I like the amodimethicone because there's a chance it will evaporate on its own and not build up much. I think that's what happened with me, it really did not build up and my hair just loved it. I miss the shine and need a little extra smoothing/defrizzing. Luckily my hair is not at a length to get super tangly so detangling isn't a major concern at the moment. Thanks for the suggestions!

Well, I do hope others check their stash for your miracle ingredient. I checked a product that's popular and one I always have on hand. So...
Come on guys, help a girl out here! :D ;)

There's also the garnier whole blends conditioner. It has amodimethicone and my hair likes it a lot more than dimethicone loaded conditioners personally. YMMV.
P.S. I'm actually going to try HE Hello Hydration anyways soon. I haven't used it for a very very long time. Back then it made my hair feel greasy, but I'm sure the formula has changed since then.

Are you in the States? If so, Neutrogena Moisture Replenishing conditioner (pink) had that, but you'd have to find it at Ocean State Job Lot, Big Lots, McFrugals, etc because it was discontinued recently.
Also Renpure Originals Coconut Nourishing conditioner

It's the "nourishing" avocado and shea one :). It also has behentromonium methosulfate, which might explain why even though it's heavy it doesn't seem to weight down my hair too much. I don't notice my hair feeling any drier afterwards either. I find it works very well with honey and aloe in an SMT, but it isn't super moisturizing by itself (even though it does make my hair feel nice). The shampoo has dimethicone in it, which I find kind of odd. I know at least the honey treasures one has amodimethicone, but I haven't tried it yet. I think all of the garnier "whole blends" conditioners have amodimethicone, at least in the US/Canada. I'm not sure if the formula differs in Europe or not.

I have the honey one, but the Dutch version as I ordered it online. In Belgium we have the "Ultra Doux" and that formula might be different again. So can't really check.
This is a blog page, with ingredients on the Dutch version - doesn't seem to have amodimethicone:

Interesting. I guess amodimethicone is only in the North American version.

I think many products use amodimethicone as their only cone, actually. :) My favorite of the ones I've tried is probably Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Intensely Smooth Leave-in Conditioning Cream: http://www.garnierusa.com/products/haircare/sleek-and-shine/sleek-care/sleek-and-shine-intensely-smooth-leave-in-conditioning-cream-10-2oz.aspx
I found it very moisturizing and good for slip.

Aussie Hair insurance, Infusium 23 original leave in, and I on Swimmer's leave in conditioner all have amodimethicone in them :)

Oh, I was looking through hair conditioners to pick out new ones to look for next time I need to buy them, and I found something that might interest you. Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge Fortifying Conditioner has Lauryl Peg/PPG-18/18 Methicone, which is a water-soluble methicone. Other Garnier Fructis conditioners have amodimethicone and "triple nutrition" has "Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine", which is marketed as a silicone replacement, which lapushka mentioned before.
Oh dear, looks like I'll be trying out more conditioners soon when I use up what I have. I hope you find something that you like, looks like it won't be too hard to find conditioners with amodimethicone and similar products (bis-aminopropyl dimethicone is supposed to behave similarly as amodimethicone, by the way).

I use Pantene Ice Shine which has only bis-aminopropyl dimethicone as the sole silicone and I find it rinses out extremely cleanly and resists building up. I CO wash with it :D
I too had been searching for a conditioner that had amodimethicone but no other cones - I stopped searching when I found Ice Shine. I've been using it about a year and a half now. :)

Interestingly, Ice Shine also has stearaminopropyl diamethylamine in it too! I'll have to try that Tressemme one listed above sometime nd see if it's a good one for me too - I 'd love to know there's a backup out there if Ice Shine ever gets discontinued... again... :p

I use Joico Smooth Cure and love love love it! It is not a drugstore product, but if you are in the U.S. and have an Ulta near you, they often have good sales. The matching shampoo is actually sulfate free and I use it sometimes, but I have SD, so can't use a mild shampoo all the time, so I use a different Joico shampoo with SLS.

Thank you all so much for these recommendations!! I think I will try RenPure next since I've seen that at a nearby Target. Now to finish up this bottle of Tresemme Botanique.... :o

I haven't tried Ice Shine so I can't compare the two but I really did like Perfectly Undone. The only reason I didn't purchase it again is because I wanted to try Tresemme Botanique. I found it to be very moisturizing and it gave my hair a little weight (which it needs because it's curly/wavy and tends to go everywhere). Hope it works for you!

Seconding this - Ice Shine is awesome! It also smells like berries & cream! :D

I think John Freida Frizz Ease products contain amodimethicone plus other cones... https://www.amazon.com/Frizz-Ease-Flawlessly-Straight-Conditioner/dp/B0034F7F5G

Just by googling amodimethicone conditioner, I came across the Tresemme Climate Control Conditioner, & the Tressemme Keratin smooth. They both have dimethicone + amodimethicone.

Garnier Nutri Repair 3 and Goodbye Damage have amodimethicone in them, and no other cones (I'm pretty sure). I've been using them to CO wash and I haven't had to clarify for a couple of months.
