Wavy (on a good day) waist-length hair, super oily, virgin color.
I have to wash every other day, and can only stretch washes with the help of dry shampoo.

Mine is oily too, + I have SD (seborrheic dermatitis), but I've managed to stretch to a week. So it gets washed weekly. I have classic length wavy virgin hair.
The longer your hair gets, the more you'll be able to stretch the washing.

What's your hair type? Fine with a slight wave to it :D
How long is your hair? Approximately waist length
Is it colored? Nope! Not a drop of dye since the day I was born!
My scalp sweats like crazy though, and I do not know why.. so, I usually can only get away with every other day, because I am paranoid about having greasy looking roots. :(

My kinky curls get water washed daily (on coldest winter days it may be every other day). Once a week I put on a fruit hair mask. It's almost waist length but shrinks up to BSL. It's black and I do use henna coconut milk glosses for conditioning every 3-6 months.

I have 2c/3a hair that I wear curly. My hair is collarbone length curly, APL stretched. And at this length, I cannot for the life of me get decent 2nd day curls so I co-wash daily in order to style my hair. I use sulfate-free shampoo once a week followed by a deep conditioner masque. My hair is half henna + indigo and half box dye (growing it out). ;)

My hair is near tailbone length, wavy, and thick. I color just the roots my natural medium/dark brown color to cover gray. I wash around 3 times a week because I tend towards an oily scalp.

I wash my hair about 1-2 times a week, depending on how my scalp feels.
What's your hair type? I have very thick hair with 3a (and some 3b?) curls, and my scalp has tendencies towards oiliness.
How long is your hair? It's about mid-thigh.
Is it colored? No (virgin hair).

Mine is straight, fine, slippery and around BSL. It's it's natural colour but only about 1/3 is indeed virgin hair, as I used to dye it black. My scalp is pretty normal.
I try to only wash it once a week, but, unlike everyone else around here, I LOVE washing my hair, so sometimes I'll co-wash it in the middle of the week.
I should also mention that I live in a very warm tropical place, so in the warmer weeks I might shampoo it twice.

Once a week and no more, no less! 4C woollen hair, never dyed and it's somewhere between APL and BSL. (My scalp is always dry, I only wash because of dust in the air.) Every time I wash my hair it gets very dry and I need to put the moisture back in.

I have coloured fine 2a hair, I wash it everyday but not always with shampoo. I tried stretching to every other day but I got the itches and my hair felt very dry. My hair needs the daily moisture a full soak gives it, and I'm not prepared to walk around looking like I've got a bad case of headlice lol

My fine to medium hair is at BCL, and was virgin up until last Wednesday when I put in highlights (still regretting that one..)
About 2-3 times. I used to only do about once a week but I noticed the ends would get really dry during that time - even if I oiled. Washing more often helps keep the whole thing moisturized.

I have fine 2a (maybe 2b) hair
Not colored
Between waist and hip
7 times - I wash daily. My scalp is oily, it's really hot here and I sweat a lot; my scalp gets itchy if I stretch washes; and I have blonette hair that changes color at the roots and tends to look like it's dirty or like I'm overdue for a dye job, even though it's all my natural color.

What's your hair type?
How long is your hair?
Is it colored?
I am an "almost daily washer", I probably wash about 5 times a week on avarage. I am in an inbetween stage where my hair doesn't quite need daily washing, but 2 days between is a bit too much, so I basically still need to wash daily if I want to be sure I am presentable in the evenings too.
My scalp loves daily washing though, but I think my hair could do with little less... although not so much less that my hair would become really oily; my natural oiliness isn't the good kind, it makes my hair sticky and ugly and tangly, and irritates my scalp.
My hair type is a mixed bag: my waviness levels vary from 1b to 2b, my strand thickness vary from F to C, probably mostly M though. My thickness is on the lower side of ii. Length is approx. APL. Hair is natural colour and non-chemically treated, although I sometime play with a bit of shock colours (without bleach). The last time I did that was about a year ago.

What's your hair type?
-> I'm a wavy, most of my hair is 1c hair and natural. My scalp is not oily.
How long is your hair?
-> classic length, trimmed straight-across.
Is it colored?
-> my ends have some old damage, my last dye was in 2010.
How many times a week do YOU wash your hair?
-> I wash twice a week, so every 3rd or 4th day. Stretching washes makes my hair brittle and my scalp itchy. If I have to wash my hair on 2nd day, I usually CO.
And like lulikrueger, I love washing my hair! :D

I wash once a week. i used to wash everyday but i use heat on my wash days and it was ruining my hair... so now it's only once a week. It took a few months of training but it only really looks greasy/have to use dry shampoo the last day.

I've got hip length virgin hair that I usually wash every 2-3 days (shampoo and condition, sometimes with oil before the conditioner). I can stretch it out with a co-wash in between if I don't have much build up. Anything more than 5 days without shampoo and I just start to feel grimy and itchy and I can't stand it.
It took a lot of effort to just stretch to this point, since I used to be a daily washer!

Sad to hear you regret your highlights, but why is that? Didn't like the final product, too much damage...?
Yes to both. I really have no idea what came over me..it was a spur of the moment thing and if I took time to think about it I wouldn't have done it. I'm graduating soon and just really freaking out and did something crazy lol. It's not too damaged since its not much of my hair that was highlighted..he used about 15 foils. But it does look stripey and that I don't like so I think I'm going to try and cover it up with henna at home.

I'm 34 with brunette straight-ish hair (very slight wave) it's currently above shoulder length. Trying to grow it. I wet my hair every morning in shower (otherwise it sticks out in weird places from my shirt length and layers) but I only shampoo it with sulfate free shampoo about 2-3 times a week. On the days I don't use shampoo I use a natural cone free conditioner just on the ends. I've also been leaving coconut oil in my hair over night 2x a week. And gave up heat tools a month ago. I've been noticing a huge difference in my hair health. Trying to get to BSL!

2c/3a, hip+, virgin hair which is pretty dry and tangly. I wash it anywhere between 0 and 4 times a week, depending on how my scalp and hair feel. I usually wear it bunned up. If I wore it down more, I'd probably wash it very frequently to keep the curls looking good. I use a vinegar rinse sometimes to help with the tangles.

In the past, I've washed it about twice per week. However, I've been working out more, and I think I'm going to be washing it more.
It's between hip and tailbone length. It's wavy. I'm calling it 2A.
The color is all natural.

2b/2c/M/ii, nearly BSL, colored
Most weeks, I wash every other or every third day. I often alternate co-wash with more traditional shampoo/conditioner. And the timing depends a bit on what's going on that week - I tend to wash more frequently during sticky Maryland summers, I wash less frequently when I've got a lot going on in my life and can't deal with the routine, and I time washings for prettiest hair before big events. :)

My hair is fine but I have a lot of it. It tends to be oily at the scalp and drier towards the ends. It's currently at waist length and colored with a semi.
I wash daily unfortunately otherwise it's unmanageable. I use sulphate free shampoo one day and a cleansing conditioner the next. My job is very labor intensive so if I don't wash everyday it's definitely noticeable. Plus I can detangle much better after its been washed :)

My hair type is 2a/m/ii
Length is just past MBL, going for waist
Colour is very dark brown with slight reddish tones; my hair has never been coloured/bleached/highlighted/permed or chemically altered in any way
Since my hair is pretty normal and doesn't get greasy easily, I wash once a week. I condition the ends first, then shampoo only the scalp, then mix a very small drop of shampoo with more conditioner and condition the entire length before rinsing with green tea. Once everything is rinsed off with lukewarm water, I quickly rinse with cold water before stepping out of the shower.
Every second week, I use only rice water to dip my hair into and just rinse it off with some lukewarm water before leaving to air dry.

My hair is close to hip and 1C f/m. I had been washing twice a week but recently I decided that that was often enough. I am going back to every other day. My plan is to alternate CO washes with washing with tea tree products, regular S & C, and an occasional clarifying wash.

I have TBL fine, 1C hair and I was a daily washer until about six years ago, when I stretched to every other day. Four years ago, when I joined LHC, I stretched to every 2-3 days with the help of dry shampoo. Currently, I actually only wash my hair once a week! I do two scalp washes in the sink in between my full washes and use dry shampoo to help stretch as well. I prefer co-washing, and did that for a bit more than a year, but now am back to regular shampoo and conditioner for a while, because I have shampoo to use up. The hair currently on my head has never been dyed, the only time I dyed it was nine years ago.

It’s just past classic length and maybe the last 12 inches of it is dyed? Along with two streaks above my ears that start maybe at armpit length?
I wash once a week, usually on the same day. I do condition, wash, wash, condition. Suits me pretty well. I’m lazy!

Once a week on Sundays, 2c/3a/F/M/ii, not coloured, CBL (APL stretched). I used to wash it every other day, then twice a week, and never thought I could manage stretching to once a week - when I tried, even my roots were a bit painful. But then I fell ill and couldn't wash my hair for a week - and voila, it felt much better, anI continued this schedule since then. When I need to refresh things during the week, I sometimes WO.

V05 milk conditioner. I'm doing an experiment with it as a leave in, a pea-sized amount squished in to support and enhance my natural curls.
Air dry, but that takes half a day. So with the conditioner I'm trying partial heat drying with a hair dryer. We will see how that goes over the next week or two. Reduced my drying time significantly.

Hair type: 1a to ~ears, 2a/b length. Always looking different!

Hair type: fine, silky-cobwebby and straivy - strands are 1a and 2b with little in between, waxy-oily on the scalp
Length: tailbone - mostly blunt but with some remaining chunky layers left to grow out
Colouring: henna for well over a decade
I wash 7 days a week, with sulphate shampoo down the length and conditioner up to the scalp. My hair responds best to being stripped and replenished consistently - fortunately my hair texture and drying time make this an easy propostion :)

i have bsl, 3b curly, virgin hair. i wash my hair twice a week, mostly because i go swimming that often. my hair is on the dry side so it's not uncommon for me to do a deep-conditioning/co-washing session at weekends. when i'm not going swimming regularly i'm washing my hair only once a week and co-washing in between if i feel my hair is not moisturised.

I wash my hair every 7-14 days. It just depends on how it is doin and if I have the time. My hair takes 8-12 hours to dry, depending on the humidity. It is definitely an all-day affair. I used to think my dry hair needed daily washing, but it is actually healthier now that I use oils and treat it gently. I am all about the benign neglect.
What's your hair type?
2c/3b corse hair, very dry naturally, and a lot of it (5.25" pony)
How long is your hair?
Just below waist stretched, but with the curl, I am solidly at BSL.
Is it colored?
Not anymore. I cut out an ombre about two years ago. There are a few ends here or there that show it, but I will eventually cut them out too.

How long is your hair? Between waist and MBL. I have a weird back. :)
Is it colored? I did henna. Not for color but for strength. It has a red tinge in sunlight.
I wash my hair every 4-5 days. I tend to do this because my hair becomes extremely dry and crunchy if I do not clarify and deep condition often. I am actually beginning to wonder if I should wash more frequently (every 3 days) since I tried it last summer and my hair seemed happier. This would mean alternating clarifying and deep conditioning with co-washing and deep conditioning. I am really thinking about this. I have to stock up my supplies first. :)

Maybe 1 - 2 times a week, or every 4 or 5 days. Rarely get oily hair these days, I'm not sure if it's cos I only condition from the ears down, or if it's cos it's a cone-free conditioner  Sometimes when I remember, I use ACV rinse, but normally do a cold rinse after.
It is currently coloured with semi box dye from about two weeks ago, and still growing out old bleach damage at ends

Once a week, I shampoo two or three times to get my scalp super clean. I try to make sure my scalp is very clean since I only cleanse once a week. a clarifying shampoo for my first wash, Nizoral for the second wash, and a moisturizing shampoo for my third wash.

How long is your hair? Not quite APL
Is it colored? Yes, roots done at the salon every couple of months.
It depends on the time of year. In summer, probably 2 or 3 times a week, but it's wet most days. In winter, I've gone as long as 3 weeks without washing, but more normal is 7 - 10 days. It doesn't get greasy. It just gets drier and drier between washes, so I have to spray with water and conditioner every couple of days in winter.

Is it colored? Yes, it has faded now to it's bleached state.
Before I took over my hair care, my mother would wash my hair once a month or longer. And when I took over I went off the deep end and went crazy with coloring lol and lost half my length due to poor care. So now I wash my hair once every two weeks, but now I do it every 3 weeks or close to it since I'm doing a light protein treatment. And my hair is in loooooove and recovering nicely.

Hair type: 4a (chemically straightened. Aka Relaxed). Very very fine, soft, cotton textured hair.
Length: I’ve been having trouble telling exactly where it is, but it’s somewhere between BCL and TBL.
Colored?: Nope.
I have been shampooing or co-washing every day or every other day, but I’m trying to stretch my washes to give my hair a break from being manipulated while wet. However I have a sensitive scalp that need regular washing. So I’ve been stretching my washes to around 4-5 days, but I’m hoping to make it to a full a week.

I'm like you, I also have do wash my hair frequently too. I also shampoo and co=wash everyday or every other day too. Because, I apply oils to my hair, and it tends to get greasy very fast like every 2 or 3 days I have to wash it. Or, it looks and feels gross. I can't stretch my washes out to a week or any longer. I really wish that I can but I can't, and you know as hairdressers have always said, "When you're hair is relaxed you should wash it at least once a week."

Never thought I'd write something like this, but this is what happened ...
When I was working I washed my hair two to three times a week. Suddenly after working 30 years I was unemployed.
I didn't feel the need to wash my hair as often as I didn't have to "show off" to anyone anymore.
Now, one year later I wash my hair maybe every second or even third week, and it looks great! It's not greasy and it's fuller than before. I love it! :o

Wow, that's amazing! I was my hair once a week and I really wish I could stretch it out to longer, the only reason I don't wash it lesser is because Monday comes, and I feel the need to come on the first day of work with fresh hair. Stretching period would probably need me to come into work every monday with greasy hair until it settles down :(
