So this is me after my 5-inch trim in August:

My hair wasn't in too bad a condition when I arrived here, at least that's what I thought, but I'm starting to feel a difference for the better now, even if it the photos don't show it that well. My hair felt waxy and dirty 24 hours after washing and I couldn't run my fingers through for my life only one month ago. Things are changing!! :cheese:

You're too kind, ladies!! :flower: I have to add this post to the list of my birthday presents, you helped make my day (was feeling pretty lonesome with my friends about four thousand miles away).

Things that have changed in my routine in this month with you:

1. Started thinking of a formal routine and paying attention to my hair.
2. Dumped my plastic comb. I used to rake the hell out of my hair.
3. Started looking the labels and lo! found out I was using a protein shampoo while being on a protein sparing diet. D'oh! All my conditioners were on the superconey side, too.
4. Got rid of tons of build-up.
5. Bought two conefree conditioners and started to see how my hair likes them.

So that's it, simple things I'd never thought of had I not found you. My shedding has diminished dramatically (no more combing with wet hair, thank you) and I'm really glad it feels softer and healthier every day.

Still, I wish my hair was straight and very dark as it used to be when I started college (sigh).
