TV Show Long Hairs!

The PBS show "Wired Science" has a host with really lovely long hair. Her name is Ziya Tong. Apparently she is also the host on CBC's "Zed TV". I was watching Wired Science today and her hair has gotten almost to waist length. It was so shiny, wavy and gorgeous I was just in awe!

Also the lead on the new show "Fringe", Anna Torv, has very nice straight long blond hair:

Oh, I'm a huge Joss Whedon fan, so I love Inara's hair too, AJoifulNoise! :) Also Zoe's - who wears a Flexi-8.

I adore Cordelia's long hair in Buffy and Angel and was very sad when she cut it short. Also, Faith's hair (also Buffy and Angel) is very cool.

In my younger years I got long hair inspiration from the Star Trek gals - Dax and Troi.

I am always gob-smacked by Gina's cascade of hair on Joey. Carol on ER has gorgeous thick curls.


I love Manny's hair on Black Books. Actually, it's probably the most important thing in the whole show. ;) A good portion of the DVD commentaries is devoted to it too ...!

Maggie Lawson plays Juliet O'Hara on the TV show "Psych". She had waist length hair which she has cut to a long bra stap length, but what I love is that she almost ALWAYS has a hairstick holding up her do!

I always liked CSI NY's detective, Melina Kanakaredes (http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1820956416/nm0005074) (that's her real name.) Her hair usually looks great, although I think it's lighter now than it was when she first started.

Alicia Witt used to be on this show called Cybil in the 90s and I ADORED her long red hair! I wanted her so bad. Now it still looks great, I think she's done some other stuff too.

Nah..do not feel dumb! It did happened to me many times...I just know I saw something somewhere on the LHC, but the search just does not find it..or at least not for me :) we are at least two that the search does not like.

Sometimes i watch movies for the long hair part.....Indian movies have quite a few of them. The recent one i watched was Jodha Akbar. Aishwarya Rai is beautiful with the long hair but ofcourse only thing is the hair is not real....even then, if u get a chance do watch :smile:

Movies and TV shows with long haired characters... hmmm... I agree the Mists of Avalon (I watched this last night :) ), Anne of Green Gables, Firefly, and Buffy/Angel all had characters with great hair. People mentioned Faith and Cordelia from Buffy/Angel, but at some point both Buffy and Dawn also had quite long hair too.

Personally I always loved Piper's hair from Charmed, though all the sisters had gorgeous long hair at times, but Piper's hair was one of my inspirations for growing my hair.

Morgana in the BBC 1 programme Merlin has fantastic hair, it is probably done with hairpieces but it's an inspiration to me at the moment.Lots of the incidental characters have great hair too, I suppose it's to be expected in an Arthurian retelling.

As for Amy Lee, her hair has been shorter lately, though looking at some more recent pictures she may be on the grow. Not sure. But she did definitely cut it.

Bree Williamson who plays Jess/Tess Buchanan on "One Life to Live" is growing out her blonde hair. I googled her but only found images of her short hair in the past or curled hair earlier in the year. She has been wearing it straight and long and it looks good.

With the show Legend of the Seeker, I like that Kahla is very feminine with her long hair and white dress, yet she can kick butt. It kind of works agains the stereotype.

Kritin Kreuk who played Lana Lang on Smallville had beautiful hair. I didn't fully appreciate it until I learned that she recently chopped it all off. Part of the reason I didn't appreciate it was that I was sick of her character. Sorry, I know that's off topic.

I can not forget the beautiful heads of Hair on Little House on the Prarie, Karen Grassle had amazing long hair, as did Mellissa Sue Anderson and Mellissa Gilbert, Alison Arngrim wore wigs for her role as Nellie as her hair would not hold curl in the California heat. I'm not sure exactly when she said that...it was in some magazine, earlier this year or late last, in an interview. I have a feeling it was Glamour magazine but I'm not 100% sure...

I was a kid (though nearing my teens) when the kids show Power Rangers was first on. The guy who played the Green Ranger, and eventually the White Ranger had long hair. He was usually regarded as the coolest Power Ranger. Not to mention he was the love interest of the best looking girl on the team. Girls loved him and guys wanted to be him. I was inspired to grow my hair like his, though my parents didn't take to that idea very kindly.

Reviving a dead thread.. Watching the supernatural show Grimm and the supernatural in this episode is a 16 yr old girl with a VERY long braid/dreadlock. It's like 10 ft long. I think it's prehensile. Super cool.
