I was in Walmart and discovered Goody makes a hair elastic like the homemade kind made of a cross section of panty hose. It's soft, completely seamless, and has the same hold as a regular elastic. It was a great find! The package I have is labeled Goody Athletique.

I saw those at Target and was really close to buying them! I already have some elastics I made out of hose so I passed.
I may go back and get them though if they would hold better....

I used to use these, ages ago! I don't think the shops around here sell anything like that anymore. But yes, it held my hair well and didn't cause any damage.

They're back?!? I used to use these all the time but haven't been able to find them in recent years. Of course I was too lazy to make my own, even knowing how easy it was...

No, I don't think so. I looked up the name on the site but didn't find what I have. There were many packages at Walmart, though. There was also, in addition to the black ones I have, printed ones.

I've been using that style of and for about 2 years now, aren't they great? I'm not sure whether or not mine are Goody brand, though. They sell them at Walgreens here.

It looks like this (https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71uNKwChrOL._SL256_.jpg), but is from the Goody brand. I can't seem to find it on their website...

ETA: Yeah, they're great! I'm really pleased.

I love them, although they don't hold my hair very well unless it's a little dirty.

I've been using them for like 4 years now. I have them all over my house and spread over multiple bags :')
I prefer to replace them every two years btw because they loose their elasticity over time. But it's cheap so eh.

These are the BEST! I've been using them for years. They are the only ones my hair won't break. They do stretch over time though. I have trouble finding them, so when I do I buy all the ones they have in the store.

They do seem much more popular than before, I also have trouble finding them lately since they're sold out :hmm:
