I just got a 5 prong Jeter fork. I love it! It holds my hair great! But I'm kind of at a loss for what type of buns I should do with it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've been doing my modified Nautilus but I would like to "broaden my horizons". My hair is hip length, thick enough to be difficult (getting my ends tucked is quite the challenge), slippery and stick straight. Even if you don't think the bun you have in mind will hold, post it. I'll be happy to give it a go.

I use my hair forks to secure braided cinnabuns - I find they hold well and look pretty and are simple to do as well! My hair is still too short to accomplish a nautilus or more complex buns so I am rather limited. I also have problems with slippery escapist hair like yourself so I find braiding it first does help keep it all contained. :)

I wear a flipped bun most of the time. I think a five-pronged fork would hold this quite well.

Any bun really - but you will probably make them much looser then you are used to.
