Hello friends!
:o:flower:
So my hair has now reached 38.25 (bcl for me) and I am super happy/excited! However, I've been noticing quite a few splits on the ends of my hair and have been snipping them off as i find them. I was contemplating trimming off an inch next month, but I'm not really sure if my hair needs it. I don't think it's in terrible shape by any means, ends are not dry and frazzled just splits here and there. I use coconut oil once a week, wear my protective styles, carefully detangle, etc. I want to try and go until October and then cut off two inches to thicken my ends up, but i'm really indecisive. If I continue to do the above, but sit down and do a serious S&D session every few weeks, should I be good to go until October? Or should I just bite the bullet and trim off an inch now?

This is a photo of my hair taken this afternoon

Doesn't look bad to me, healthy even! Just continue to s&d as needed.

If you don't have too many damaged ends, then there's no need to do a full trim, just S&D as needed and you'll be fine! Congrats on BCL! :)

I'd trim an inch now if it were me.

I wouldn't trim but that's cause I like the tapered ends for putting up buns (oh, alright, and it's also cause I'm in No Trimming 2016 thread ;)

Looking just beautiful, Lucy Elizabeth! It's growth quite a lot since your profile pic. Hope you're enjoying it, it sounds (and looks) like you've got your care regimen working for you.

Trim maybe an inch, but I think it looks really nice and shiny so you shouldn't have to trim too much?

Hey guys!
Thank you all very much for the comments/feedback

I don't think I'm going to trim, well, atleast until October. If my splits were crazy, and crazy for me is EVERY end is split or has a white dot, then I'd probably trim a bit, but at the moment I'm okay. Summer weather is coming soon, meaning more time to play around with updos and braids. I guess you can say I'm one of those "out of sight, out of mind" people haha! If it gets too bad maybe I'll trim it in August but for now I'm content :)
