I'm taking my daughter to Ren Faire next weekend. She is almost four, and her hair is waist length. Any fun ideas for her hair? She normally insists on wearing one braid (thank you Elsa), but can be convinced otherwise.

Lots of Ren Faire braids include ribbons. Can you do french or dutch braids? I think the corset braids always look so cute :)

Crown braids and ribboned braids are fun. You could also check out Princess Hairstyles (http://www.princesshairstyles.com/?m=1); they have some fun ones. Depending on your braidng ability, you migh try a braid with more strands than three, like a box braid or a five strand braid. Rope braids are really easy, too, and are relatively uncommon. You could also jazz up a normal braid with small accent braids (look up pictures of Renaissance fair braiders to give you an idea how to pin them for a fancy look, or you could just braid them into the braid). You could do a rose stem bun (twin French or Dutch braids, one bunned above the other so that it looks like a flower with a stem hanging down, bonus points if you add different colored ribbons(one the flower's color, like red or pink, and one green, like a stem) once you stop braiding the scalp hair and start on the length. Check out Cute Girl's Hairstyles and Babes in Hairland for tutorials. Twisted Sisters and Dreamweaver Braiding come to mind for examples of typical ren-fair braiders for an example. There's some off of the top of my head.

Oh yeah! Corset braids are really fun and easy to do on someone else and look really advanced without being difficult. (A little tricky on yourself, but doable with a mirror)

Thanks you guys! I'm actually a pretty good braider, so these are great ideas. I will be sure to update with photos! Now what to do with my own hair...
