For you wavies, does your 2nd day hair look this limp and dead?? I have product in mine, so it's a bit worse, than if I had nothing, but just curious if you all get this for 2nd day hair?

Do you have bigger pictures? Its kinda hard to see.

Yes, hard to judge from tiny pictures like that. The texture is hard to see. I'm not sure what you mean, because I don't think it looks bad at all, quite the opposite of "limp" & "dead".

I don't see anything limp and dead about it - it looks fine to me, I'm not sure why you are worried about it.

I think it looks fine too. I don't see anything wrong with it but if you describe it as limp and dead I think you mean texture + volume is not as curly and big as day before. It's quite normal to loose a bit of curl on day 2 especially if you don't use strong gels... an also it's normal to have a bit of flat hair from sleeping/oils on your scalp.

That's nothing lol. Mine goes to two giant waves after a couple days.

Your hair looks fine. My waves stretch out as soon as I put my hair in a bun. And by the 3rd day they're a tad loose anyway.

Looks like you just have a bit of clumping gong on. You might want to try putting less product on the ends (if you do), or clarifying (if you haven't done so recently). How do you wear your hair when you sleep? Also, how long do you go between washes?

I can't really see anything from the photos, but as for limpness I do find after a few days post-wash my hair will get a little oily at the roots and that will weight down my fine hair and make the top stick to my head looking limp and lifeless - but it's nothing dry shampoo can't fix :P

But my hair is definitely waviest on straight after a wash... I'll keep lurking to see if you guys have any ideas :o

Yep, mine goes flat on the second day but the tightest curls get even tighter. Its a real mess and part of the reason I wash every 1-2 days. I don't think yours looks bad at all.

I don't use product anymore for precisely this reason. I use leave-in only now. Usually I have to wear my hair up day 1 after a wash because it doesn't look great with no product, but I can wear it down days 2-3, and up again day 4.

Aha you mean clumping ? I posted a thread recently asking for ideas how to reduce them. You can check it out, it's probably on the 3rd or 2nd page or I can bump it up.

Also having trouble seeing the photos very well, but probably yes :) My second-day hair (or really as anou said, once-it-has-been-bunned hair) is usually either straightish and poofy, or icky-snarly-clumpy if I have used a little too much leave-in oil or have buildup. Once in a blue moon it is nicely wavy-soft and possible to wear down, but I have never been able to find any recipe to repeat that at will...

Waves tend to sag the more days pass. There's very little you can do. If you do want to refresh. Get a mister bottle, put some distilled water into it, maybe with a squirt of conditioner, maybe with some AV gel and glycerine and some EOs (depends on your preference entirely), and re-wet your waves the next day. Get them a little damp (not wet!) and scrunch. Hey presto. It will reactivate the products that you have in your hair!

Doesn't matter as I'm wearing it up 90% of the time anyway.

doesn't matter now, but sorry that they came out so small. Just now checking back, yeah I guess I miss the volume. Usually my clumps have volume to them, and after braiding to sleep gone. . . Honestly this same day, I soaked with water to reactivate the product, but they didn't get any better. One thing I realized the product had glycerin high on the list, REGISLINE curl rock and I live in desert weather, so I returned it. I might have to just stick with a leave in. thanks for leaving feed back. I'm not "worried" I'm just curious as to how other wavies look on 2nd day.

Well, not pristine, that's for sure.
