I'd love to see photos of your straight hair! If there's already a thread like this please let me know, but I couldn't see one with photos of our naturally straight hair :)


I see so many photos of wavy or curly hair and it is absolutely gorgeous! I wish I had wavy hair, alas we always want what we can't have. My actual hair is 1a.


Can we share some photos of straight hair? I'd love to swoon over your straight locks. Long, short, it's all good!


Here is my hair at my current starting length before my final trim before I grow it out. I believe it's 1a, but there is some slight movement at the ends at the moment where it dries on my shoulders.


Freshly washed and air dried as I begin my no-heat adventure :D

This is a great idea for a thread! Does 1b hair count as straight, or just 1a?? Mine is pretty straight except for the very ends, which can flip around a bit. I've always wished I had waves, too! Sigh!

Absolutely 1b hair is welcome! I think my hair is 1a from its current state and looking at old photos, but really it could be closer to 1b and I won't know for sure until it grows a bit.

I think it's our curse to always want what we don't have. I'm learning to love my straight hair. I have lots of wavy haired friends who meticulously straighten it to get it how mine dries naturally. I try to remember that when I'm sulking over beautiful wavy hair on Instagram and Pinterest :P

Great thread! My hair has always been straight, but because I am growing out my pixie, I've got lots of layers and flips right now, so it's not so straight at the moment. My longest layers are just past CBL, and my shortest layers are mid-ear...so I'll wait to post!

Thanks copperlites! I swear I'm a ii! Last time I checked my ponytail circumference I measured 8cm. My hair is very good at compacting, though, so that may make a difference? I know what you mean about changing length goals! My goal was classic but now that I'm so close I'm contemplating growing to mid-thigh. I'll have to think about it!
