I searched this but couldn't find a working link to a tutorial video. Im a visual learner so a video would help.

I only found a picture tutorial, which didn't have very clear photos. Can you find normal log roll videos? It can't be that much more difficult to just change the starting spot and orientation.

I've been trying that. I haven't figured out how to get the bottom. My hands just want to do a regular french twist.

I think you start with the hair gathered or ponytailed at the crown. Then twist a bight and wrap the rest of the hair around before securing it with the mass hanging down.

I'm glad I posted it then. I sort of thought you had seen it, as you were particularly asking for video. Hope you got it work, and do post pictures, if you want!

And since it seems to be pretty rare hairdo, it would be AWESOME if you could make a video tutorial of it, it would be the first of it's kind so you would be known thus forward as a Upside Down Log Roll Guru! :D

Yes, but that's not an upside down version. That's modification (for shorter hair, I think) of the original (=right side up) version.

I completely forgot about this version too; thanks for the reminder :thumbsup:
With my fine hair, the original can sometimes be too thin and slippery.
