Hi all :)

I've been away for a long time! In 2013 I went from BSL to short-short and regretted it so much. Some time passed, and I am back where I started swinging back and forth between pixie cuts and the wish to finally have really long hair. This has been my longest time without cutting, and I hope to reach my goal length.
(I have never ever managed to grow past APL until 2013 and BSL is my record length!) So I am rejoining and I hope to grow together with all of you guys toward BCL!

This was me before my big chop, longest it had ever been

Additional request: Can anyone hair-type me? Haha I have yet to manage

This was two months after my big chop. Later I cut the back to a more even length. The sides were buzzed.

This is about 6 months later, january of 2014. I had the back evened out and was growing out. This was a temporary color, but since I've only used henna.

This was me about 6 months ago, around APL

The colour is a little less red IRL actually, and I'm going to do my roots with a cassia blend to regain a coppery shade.

I have had absolutely no trims since jan 2014. I S&D'd my butt off a few days back but the overall quality of my hair seems very well! The only thing I am pondering is that my ends seem very uneven due to uneven growth and breakage.. but if I do trim I will lose a lot of my length. What do you guys think?

What stunning colors you have! I love your blue eyes with the reddish hair, it looks lovely. Congrats on your growth!!! I'd maybe trim a tad (like 1/4 to 1/2 inch) if that'd help to even things out, otherwise keep on growing!

Thanks Ellethwyn and Lapushka :) I'm quite happy with my growth. Once I got past shoulder it got a whole lot easier :P The mullet stage was the worst

You are a natural beauty and would suite any hairstyle.
That upside down pic is incredibly striking.
Welcome back.

Ahh you guys <3 Thank you all :)
I'm very happy to be back! And I am very inspired by all of your journeys as well, it reminds me that it is possible to keep going past my precious recond length! When my hair is wet, the longest whisps are at midback already, so I hope to reach waist in 6 to 8 months :) (I need about 10 cms)

Oh dear, you remind me of those italian muses on movies, paints and art in general. You have striking eyes and gorgeous hair!

And yes it looks 1B maybe 1C. Your hair is looking so great now!!!!! :agree::agree:

Aw thanks <3 Pre Raphaelite paintings have really inspired and formed my look to be honest :)
I think it is, yes, I have a slight wave which is least prominent right after wash and most prominent right before. Also my hair is really really fine and breaks easily.. but I have a lot of it. After the visual hairtyping test I also ended up with F and II/III (9cm circumference but I still have a side cut growing out that's not long enough to be part of the ponytail)

The red is stunning with your coloring and eyes, and congratulations on your growth! :)

The mullet stage is always terrible! I got stuck in the cycle of cutting-growing out-getting frustrating-cutting again, for like a year and a half. Once you get through that, it's (mostly) smooth sailing. I know for me, getting from SL-APL was also hard for me.

Red really suits you! That such a beautiful shade.

Maybe instead of one big trim you can microtrim for, say, six months? Take, say, 1/4 inch off every month in the hopes that it'll eventually even up? I'm currently not trimming for the 2016, but this is my plan afterwards as I've not had a proper cut since the May of 2014 and I've also got a bunch of unevenness/breakage.

From that last picture, it kind of looks like you have a V-hemline going on (maybe?). To minimize length loss, perhaps you can try a self-trimmed V hemline? Or maybe even a U? http://feyeselftrim.livejournal.com/

I wanted to trim today (thanks so much for the link samanthaa!), but after a honey/olive oil/cinnamon/cardamom mask my hair looked and felt so wonderful at the ends that I plan to hold it off just a bit longer. I did it to get more coppery back in there and succeeded by the way :) Especially up top it is a little less cool in shade, though the lighting is so different in each photo before this one that it's hard to see.
