View Full Version : I'm so, so sorry. Also, lots of pictures.

I held off for as long as I could, but I just didn't have the strength. I want opinions on what my hair type is. I keep going back and forth! I can't take it anymore! *dramatic sob* ;)

Just washed (no product, scrunched and air-dried)

Sorry for the horrible pictures; there aren't very many of me out there. I had to get creative trying to crop everybody else's face out, but a hand still made it in the frame! Oh well...:D I couldn't find a picture from when it was really short.

I'd say 2a or 2b

I agree. 2a, maybe 2b. No real curl or wurl to speak of but definitely wavy. Looks pretty fine and soft as well. I think your info on your profile is accurate.

Were your first photo's waves scrunched or not scrunhed? I wasn't sure.

In that photo there seems to be some of that braid wave looking waves, which are classic sign of 2b waves. Somehow I wouldn't put you purely in 2 b, can't really put my finger on why. I'd put you in 2a/2b.

I would also say between 2a/2b. Very pretty hair you have :)

Yep, 2a or 2b. I'd go with either 2a/b or 2b because it does resemble braid waves more than it does loose waves.

They were scrunched.

Thanks everybody! I guess I wasn't too far off... 2a/2b it is!

Hairtyping photos shouldn't have any wave/curl encouraging for accurate results. You might be more on the 2a camp without scrunching.

Sorry, I had to use the pictures I had on hand. I'll see what I can do the next time I wash.

^ This. You seem to be closer to 2a than 2a/2b. I consider my hairtype to be 2a/2b in its natural shape, but my wave pattern would be between 2b and 2c with the scrunching (definitely wavier than the first picture you posted).
Regardless of your hair type, your hair is really beautiful! And we are almost hair twins ;)

Again, very sorry! I wasn't trying to mislead, I just have two pictures of my hair when it's just been washed, and one of them is so puffy I thought it would be even worse in terms of accuracy. Thank you for the kind words, though!

Oh no, you don't need to be sorry :) It's actually quite rare to see a "real" hair typing photos, as it is a bit of a trouble to get them.

No need to be sorry, there's nothing to feel sorry about!

You can say that again! I get such crazy frizz when I don't babysit my hair while it's drying. It drives me so crazy when I can't mess with it to make sure it dries right.

HeartofHaleth,
Please, no more excessive apologizing.
This board is all about hair obsession and weird questions. It is our lifeblood. (Lifebytes?)
Your questions, and our answers are necessary to keeping the LHC universe spinning.

I'm afraid I'm a chronic apologizer....I'm that person who says sorry for saying sorry too much! But it's good that you're all so tolerant of silly questions; they're my primary export!

You have beautiful hair! I think you're a 2A, honestly. When I search for 2B, I see these pictures and they are much more 'intense', you know?

Whether it be 2a, 2a/b or even 2b when scrunched up nicely, it's still gorgeous. :D ;)

I tried coconut oil, but I got build-up. It's too bad, my mother is much more willing to let me use her coconut oil than her avocado oil!

Never need to apologize posting hair photos on a hair forum :D

Nor about asking questions - how else we would learn? Often the one writing the response also learns.

Wow, we sure have a lot in common! I can be very full of apologies, silly questions, and mostly drama ;).

Well, what would life be without a little dash of the dramatic? ;)
