Hello dear ladies and gents! My 2nd LHC anniversary is actually at the end of this month, but I may be a little busy then so I'll write the thread now. This time I want to describe my long hair journey in a more detailed way, so I'll start with my pre LHC days.
I've always wanted long hair and I kinda always had some sort of long hair. In summer 2012 I wanted to seriously start growing my hair. Back then my hair was Hip length, but it was very damaged. I had never dyed it or bleached it (only use temporary dye on it) but I used to always wear it down and I didn't really avoid heat (I always used a blow-dryer). I thought that my hair is very thin and that it will always be damaged. Here are a few pictures:

At the end of 2012, I finally found the courage to go to the hairdresser. I told them to cut the ends only and I got back with barely Waist length hair. IT felt extremely short to me and I was very sad because of the loss of the length. But I was happy because I've never had such thick ends the V-shape I hated was finally gone. Here's a photo:

Three months later (in the beginning of 2013 ) I went to the hairdresser again, because I wanted to be sure that my ends are healthy enough. This time I got back with BSL/MBL hair, but I was already used to have shorter hair so I wasn't upset about the length. That's basically the shortest my hair has ever been. Here's a photo:

So, this is when I decided to stop going to the hairdresser and to start cutting my hair myself. I didn't properly cared for my hair back then but I wore it up more often and the trimming of the ends helped. My hair continued to grow and eventually and by the end of 2013 I had reached Waist length again:

In February 2014, I started looking for tips for long hair and I found Emichiee. She told me about TLHC and I came. :D
So I joined with barely Hip length hair, at about 80 cm.

I started taking care of my hair properly, wearing it up, stopped using heat, trimming and washing it properly etc.
One year later, February 2015, I had reached BCL at 94 cm.

And here I am now, February 2016, a little bit past Classic length at 107 cm.

Wow Dessi, you have had an impressive growth in two years ! :D If I understand well, you are now trimming it yourself ? How do you do to keep your V-shape looking just as if it was grown out from you last hairdresser's cut ??

I loved reading about your hair journey ! Congrats on your 2 year LHC annivhairsary and thank you so much for sharing ! :flower:

Thank you! I've been actually trimming my hair straight across for the last year. The only thing that makes it look like I have a V/U shaped hemline is the top layer I have.

Happy Hairversary Dessi... My hairtwin!:p  I measured at 36 inches today and classic is at 42 inches for me-- where your profile says you are currently measuring at-41inches.... Maybe in another year+ I will be at your length?? I hope mine looks as thick and healthy as your hair does at this length! Congrats on your healthy hair at my goal length!! :magic: When I see your hairpics, they are so inspiring!!

ETA after looking at each of your photos below, it's like your hair exploded in increased length since last Feb. 2015!! Wow!!! Your hair is gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing your hairstory. It is very inspiring!!:flowers:

I don't think anyone's hair journey is boring, especially when they have been successful with reaching hair goals that I personally have yet to reach. We need to learn from each other and your hairstory is wonderful and inspirational! Thanks again for sharing. :blossom:
