What it lacks in speed it makes up for with good looks and spunky personality.

Hmm, I think I had it priced too high. That seems more reasonable. Especially for such a slow stick. I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow too. This one isn't really doing her any favors.

The price looks good to me. I just already have a stick that color or I wouldn't have passed it up.

I know, I'm sorry Hypnotica. The USPS really has us by the boo boo with their outrageous international shipping rates. It would look so pretty in your hair too but then what doesn't

Is it by size, weight or just as-is for anything? Here it is a size-weight thingy.

I think they calculate it by weight but last time I shipped a box overseas, like the one TT's and Lady Iduns come in, it cost me $13 :scared:

Out of curiosity, how much do Etsy sellers in the US charge for international shipping? Does etsy give them a shipping discount like eBay does? I've bought things off etsy from other countries and they only charged generally around $7 USD. I can't get away with that at my post office. :justy:

I will take a run at the shipping question, experiences from my sales threads: The post office or their online postage charges 13ish for international package shipping after the rate increase. No idea if Etsy gives shop owners a discount or not. Paypal however seems to give a steep discount for international package if the label is printed out through them. I've only done it twice so far so I can't be sure if this is an every country scenario and I've not tried it out for many different countries.

As an example I've shipped a few packages to Germany, through paypal's website it was 5ish dollars, versus the 13 when I went through USPS website. I just shipped a package to England for around 4$ printing my postage out with paypal. Buyer cannot pay you as a friend, they have to use the pay for goods and services option. This is for international package, the way I would ship anyway. The downside is they don't offer any insurance option that I can find. I usually chance it for my small sales and if a package goes missing, the buyer and I will sort it out. Missing package hasn't happened yet, *knocks on wood...

So you can get a shipping discount if you print shipping label through PayPal but then they take out fees as well don't they? So the sellers actual cost would still be more than $4 or $5? Am I understanding this right? I never knew how people created shipping labels through PayPal. I have never seen the option. if I get another international sale I will have to try. I too hate shipping costs. This was today's damage.

Another option would be to ship in bubble padded envelope, and just put a stick in small box or wrapped in cardboard inside. Lilla rose ships that way too, but they don't bother much with careful wrapping. I did ship some sticks like that, but from Europe to USA.

Kitten Sorry to post and disappear, was out most of the day yesterday.

Paypal does allow you to print labels, but the purchaser has to use the goods and services options. On the email notification that you received a payment at the bottom, there is the option to print shipping label. Click on that and it takes you to postage label options, for international packages it also allows you to fill out the customs forms, which print out with the label. I'm pretty techno not savy and I find it fairly simple. The other thing you have to have is a small scale to weigh your package, I bought one on ebay for $20, you have to know the weight for it. When I do them that way, all the post office does is scan them in and the postage has already been deducted from my paypal account.

You do have to pay seller fees that way but I just account for them in the asking price.

Ok Slynr! Pm'd you back sleeping duty! Thanks for your response Sterlyn. Sounds like if I can get a scale for that cheap that might be the way to go. I hate asking so much for shipping and that way I won't spend so much time at the counter when I'm at the post office. Win win!
