I realised the other day that I've been on LHC for a year, so I thought I would post a comparison pic! My hair has changed quite a bit since I started hanging around here. It doesn't look different in the photos but it feels different. I've learned how to care for my hair properly and how to manage splits and damage. I've also learned so many new fantastic updo's that help to keep my hair healthy. I think I would've ended up chopping most of my hair off if I hadn't found this site, as I was getting so many splits. I know it wasn't that long ago that I posted a length pic but here's a new one from the day before yesterday and a pic from when I joined.

Feb 2015. Sorry for the bad quality. This was taken when I was around hip length.

Beautiful hair Saige! I see all these people post when it's their one year anniversary and I think how I never thought of doing that when I had been here a year. Oh well, maybe next anniversary lol.

What beautiful thick length and hemline!! Very green with envy over here and I am just 5 inches away from your 40". How often do you trim your hair? Micro trim? Do you self trim? If so, how? What is the longest your hair has ever been? Happy Hairiversary btw!! ;) I. Want. Your. Hair. ;) Thank you for posting your lovely photos. :magic:

Thanks LongCurlyTress! I trim my own hair using Feye's blunt cut method. I cut around 1cm or half an inch every 6 months or so. I also search and destroy splits when I can. This is the longest my hair has ever been, so I guess the care is paying off!

Such a wonderful quality of hair !... :thud:

Your hair really looks in its best possible shape, Saige. Your incredibly thick hemline at this length shows that you can still grow kilometers of thudworthy hair !!

Oh, and congratulations on your annivhairsary, of course !!!! :D :cheer: :cheer:

Thanks so much for sharing your trimming schedule and technique. So by blunt cut method, do you mean with your head straight ahead.. lol. sorry for pun... and two pigtails on either side pulled in front with hairties? Or a nape ponytail with hairtie pulled down your back and then a snip? My hair does not seem to come out evenly when I do this but I think that is probably due to being a 3b curlygirl. ;( Thank you for answering all my questions. ;)

Thanks very much, lovely people! :heartbeat:blossom:

LongCurlyTress, I usually make a ponytail at the nape with my head down so I'm looking at the floor. Then I slide the elastic down to the ends and cut. I gives me pretty good results but I really have to check that I don't pull the elastic to either side. Otherwise it comes out wonky!
