It's cold and dreary today & I didn't feel like sitting around with wet hair for most of the day so I blow dried it on cool, no diffuser or brush used. It poofed up about twice its normal volume, though you might all get a kick out of pictures.

the back wasn't too horrible

Your hair today reminds me so much of Shirley Temple!

That's fun! Somewhere on this site is a long thread with many pictures about "BOOM" hair. Some of the "boomiest" was redheads. :) It wasn't always hairdryers - sometimes it was combing or brushing. Made me laugh - but my hair would never do anything like that... flat straight stringy.

ETA: here's the BOOM thread, good for a laugh!

That is why I always have a diffuser on there, and use the LOC method (it helps prevent poofing).

Thanks for the link, I'll make sure to look at it. sadly, red isn't my natural color, it's from henna:)

I normally use a diffuser but I planned on using a flat iron today so I didn't mind if it poofed. I did discover I don't care for straight hair on myself any more.

Thanks Sweets, I wasn't too sure how the red looks on me, its only been this color for about 2 months now.

It's not your natural color??? My goodness, it looks absolutely natural! If you like it, stay with it, it's gorgeous!

If I saw you in public I would stare at you (in a good way, also not in a creepy stalker way though). Your hair just catches my eyes. That color is so vibrant! You're blessed.

Kinda off topic, but what is you'd natural colour? Are you blonde?
This is my dream colour but as my hair is naturally brownish auburn it looks like it really isn't possible for me unless I bleach :(

Thank you ladies, I don't get many compliment on my hair so it's really nice to hear:) My natural color is light ashy blond, about 2 inches of the ends were lightened around 6 months ago to a less ashy blond. IRL you can tell that the roots are slightly darker/richer but I can never capture it in pics.
I've wanted red hair for years but never considered henna until I came here, so thank you LHC for helping me achieve my dream color. I can't wait until its actually long, I want to see it with toys.
