So I remember seeing linked somewhere on this board a video of someone with shorter hair (I want to say maybe somewhere between Shoulder and APL, but closer to shoulder) making a bun by wrapping their hair around their stick in a certain way. I can't completely remember the way it was done, but I remember they held the hair in one hand and it was the way they moved the stick to wrap the hair around was how the bun was made. THey started by using the stick to twist wrap the hair once, maybe twice, then when the stick was "upside down" they secured it by flipping it right side up, which trapped all of the ends under the stick and in the bun. I believe it was a video made by one of our LHC members, but I honestly can't remember. I've gone through every video in GoneJackal's index of The Official "I made a hair video!" thread (http://The Official "I made a hair video!" thread) and tried several searches on youtube trying to find it.

Hopefully someone here can help me out?

Sorry, irrelevant post

I think I know the method you refer to, but I don't know it's name. Sorry I got a brain fart above and removed my irrelevant comment. I hope you find your tutorial!

Maybe the second of these three styles would be pretty close to what I have in mind: http://www.cutegirlshairstyles.com/hairstyles/buns/3-easy-pencil-bun-ideas-back-to-school-hairstyles/

The second one seems very similar to the hair style I saw the tutorial for, except it was done by someone else and they did it basically mirrored. So.... not the exact video I was looking for but it's pretty much the same bun! :eyebrows:

I did a youtube search for "easy hairstick buns" and this one came up. I think this is the bun that you are thinking of?
