These are well loved. My favorite is the Tea Tree Shampoo and the Conditioning Balm.I want to try the Detangler. What are your favorites?

I like these--but if you love them, I suggest stocking up!!
It has happened to me that they get discontinued very suddenly, due to the company that makes the product they are imitating having the product pulled from the shelves (as happened to their products that were like Joico)

Oh no I hope not! I've used the Conditioning Balm for about 7 years, I hope it's too popular to discontinue.

I love the hydrating shampoo and conditioning balm! :inlove: They both smell great too. I hope they don't get discontinued...maybe I should take Chen's advice and stock up. :hmm:

I agree. The hydration shampoo and conditioning balm are the perfect scent. They are both in my rotation.

I like the GVP version of Clairol Shimmer Lights. Works just as well, but smells better.

Love the tea tree shampoo! I want to try the conditioning balm and the one that is supposed to be like Nexus Humectress. Last time I went they didn't have the conditioning balm though :( The nexus one smells like candy to me.

I've been trying out the Lavender Mint Moisturizing Conditioner. It is very thick and creamy. It does moisturize very well. I like to use it when my hair is feeling a bit dry, it helps with the frizzies. My only complaint is it smells strongly of lavender oil, not horrible and not a deal breaker though.

I just wish we had Sally's here - you are all so lucky to be able to go there whenever you want! Here we have nowhere which sells a wide range of hair products - the biggest range is at the grocery store and all they have is S& C with barely anything else. :( and even not much variety in those. If I even want a clarifying shampoo I have to go to a particular hair salon and they charge $40 for a normal size bottle (grump).

Oh my Sarah, I'm sorry. I know that can be frustrating. You can get Suave Clarifying shampoo for around $1 USD here, I cannot imagine paying $40 for something similar.
I wish international shipping wasn't so expensive. I would send out some things. I do think Sallys has a website, but not sure where they deliver to.

They do have a website, but don't ship internationally :( I tried buying a product I was after on Amazon but they wanted to charge me US$400 for shipping. Er - that ain't gonna happen ;)
Luckily for me though my LHC best friend is going to buy some stuff for me from Sally's and ship it over, which appears to be the cheapest way of getting it, that I can see.
When I was in the US in October I went there and stocked up on products to try and am now buying more of what my hair likes. I just don't understand why we cannot get all these things here.
ok, end of hijack.

Humectress knock-off, which I like. I also have a bottle of Joico k-pac for protein knock-off which I really like but can't seem find anymore. I wonder if they did quit making that one.
I should probably pick up the conditioning balm the next time I'm in to try too.

So my Sally's was having a liter sale and I totally went crazy with their bioterra moisture line....the scent. :cloud9:

So I had a chance to use the shampoo and conditioner. I love them! But my hair generally love new things. I also got a small bottle of shine oil/coney goodness. I've used it liberaly in the last few days. It's really helped my ends soften. I'm rather sure any similar product would have done the same. But bonus is the smell!

That's wonderful Quasi! Smell is important for the products I will use. I haven't tried the Bioterra line, but I am really loving this lavender mint conditioner.

I feel like it's knockoff biolage - the smell is about the same. And I don't think the Sally's one has aloe, which is a bonus for me.

The Bioterra is similar in scent to Biolage? I did not know that, I'll have to check that line out. Recently I did buy the lavender mint conditioner and unfortunately don't like it, it makes my hair really static-y and to my nose the scent is more tea tree (I compared side by side to Paul Mitchell's version, which I also have) than lavender. I like Paul Mitchell's scent and version a lot better, which stinks because Sally's is such a deal. Oh well :(

Granted I haven't had a bottle of Biolage in the same place as the bioterra. But I did use some Biolage over Christmas and my scent memory says they are similar enough for the price tag difference.

That's a shame the Lavender Mint didn't work out for you renia. It is quite thick. My hair has been dry lately, that's probably why it works well for me. I do see what you mean by the scent, it is sort of the astringent medicinal smell of tto, but the Lavender is very sharp to me.
Quasi, I'm going to Sallys tomorrow. I'm going to sniff the Bioterra. Biolage smells amazing.

^thanks Swan Maiden, yeah it's a bummer but I guess there are bound to be some "misses" here & there. My husband is using it, he doesn't mind it. I think I've just been spoiled from using the Paul Mitchell version :/. Haven't tried Bioterra yet, but I've tried some products from the Ion line and liked them.

I like the GVP Nexxus Humectress and Therappe, and GVP Paul Mitchell Awapuhi. I also have the GVP Biolage Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioning Balm and they work fine, though they didn't "wow"me as much as I expected after all of the great reviews on here. I will definitely buy the Nexxus knock offs again but probably not the others.

DH and I was in Sally's the weekend before last and smelled the GVP Nexus type products. They smelled so good I am tempted to give them a try. I think I tried them many, many years ago. I get a Sally's card in my stocking from Santa and January is my birthday month so I usually spend a little more this time of year on things I want to try or stock up on :toast:

Ooo the Lavender Mint is officially my Holy Grail mid price conditioner. I comb my wet hair soaked in this conditioner and it just glides.

The GVP Conditioning Balm has a lot of slip, one of the best conditioners I've tried.

The conditioning balm you all love is the "Compare to Matrix Biolage," right? I love how it works, both as a rinse out and as something to add to my ends. There's a coconut component to the scent, though, and it's almost too much for me (coconut scent bugs my sinuses). Luckily it's only _almost_ too much and I can still use the product!
I love the scent of lavender so I will check out the lavender mint conditioner.

Yes it is the same one. I can't detect any coconut in the scent. I am happy it works well for you although it borders your threshold. The lavender mint smells much stronger than the CB. My daughter told me last night that it smells like peppermint chocolate when I washed her hair.

As long as the chocolate smell didn't make make me hungry, that would be great!

According to the salespeople at my local Sally's the joico dupe has been DCed. I love love love the conditioning balm; I always have a couple of bottles on hand and have repurchased more times than I can count. So rich and so much slip but it doesn't weigh my hair down.

I had been looking for a TTO shampoo recently, as I used to use one when I was younger. DBF wanted to go to Sally's today, and they were having a sale on the GVP products - two for $11! I got the TTO that's supposed to be like the Paul Mitchell one, and I tried it earlier.
I was happy that it also has peppermint in it. I never let shampoo sit on my head, but I let this one sit long enough to make my scalp cool and tingly. I followed it up with the As I Am coconut cowash...
My hair air dried and I have to say, it hasn't felt this soft in a LONG TIME!!!! I am in love!

The GVP version of Paul Mitchell The Conditioner. I've been using that stuff for years and I can't believe how well it works. I can use it alone or with some other heavier leave in if I like, and I seal with castor oil. I think that combo is why it was over 6 months since my last trim and I barely have any split ends.

I have the GVP version of the Paul Mitchell ginger keratin treatment and it works pretty well. Since it's more on the protein side I only use it about once a month but the smell is divine.

That awapuhi does smell so good. Ive been wondering how it works. My hair does like occasional protein treatments.
I purchased the lavender mint shampoo. I love it!!

So for any Sally's fans, I was in there the other day and noticed they have all of these new GVP products. They had the generic of Clinique face wash, face lotion and Even Better spot lotion; some Neutrogena face cream and face lotion knock offs, plus some generics of Olay. Not sure how long they have been around or if they are any good, or if there's anything new in the haircare section, but just thought I'd mention it in case anyone wants to check them out.
