Hi all, wow two years of growing. I would like to start off by thanking everyone for their great advice and support.

I started with shoulder length hair which was straight. I had lost about 30% to shedding so I wasn't beginning my journey in a great place, and to be honest if I'd known how hard the cycle of growing and cutting was going to be to get rid of shed ends I probably wouldn't have bothered growing it in the first place!!!

As an enthusiastic newbie, I tried any and every experiment known to man to speed up my growth, not one of them worked :D

I stopped blow frying, ripping through my hair with a brush, and generally just abusing it.

Progress wise, my length I have gained isn't astounding, but the thickness is improving. I have cut off all of this year's growth.

Starting point

Turns out my hair had other ideas and by April it was doing this!

My plan for next year is to micro trim my way to waist, with the hope of a thicker hemline.

For how much you've been trimming, your growth is still pretty good. And your hair is really pretty!

Shiny and pretty! :eye: Congratulations on your anniversary! You know, from shoulder to BSL in 2 years isn't that unheared of, it takes me the same time(I trim too). It sounds like you might have really speedy growth!

Don't regret your efforts, diddiedaisy ! You've done the hardest part of the journey, and now you can enjoy every new centimeter of new growth !

By the way, your delicate baby blondness is lovely ! I particularly like the last picture : it reminds me some blond little girls of the German part of Switzerland (my country^^) :flower:

Your hair has grown a lot in 2 years, especially with the trims, you've made amazing progress. I'm sure it was difficult to sacrifice the length but it has really paid off, your hemline is so pretty. I can't wait to see your hair at waist.

I agree with Mimha too, your natural color is just beautiful.

Thankyou for all your kind comments. Unfortunately though my hair has not naturally been this colour since my late teens, it has a bit of help now hehe :)
