Hello. I'm new and wanted a more experienced opinion on judging my hair type. Please check out my profile pic and give my your advise. That's my hair air-dried and uncombed

It's too short for me to tell if you have loose curls or waves.

me neither. before growing it out this time, I hadn't had my natural color or texture for almost 7 years. before that I was a kid and my mom kept my hair shorter.
I can't wait to see what it will do! for me its like having new hair. :)

To me that seems 2a'ish, it could be more but it's way too short to tell. You need at least APL hair to do a full typing on wavy hair, that's just the nature of the beast. Waves don't fully show themselves until there's quite a bit of length.

It waves or curls when it wants to. The weather here in Florida does strange things to it. But oiling it seems to keep the frizz from taking over.

It's pretty short to be able to tell. (Wavy hair typically needs quite a bit of length for you to see it go through a few waves and know how much it's going to do. Curly hair is easier to type on short hair than wavy hair is.) 2b sounds like a decent guess at this point. I think your picture looks wavier than my hair was at that length.

I'd have it re-assessed at a later date, when it's much longer. It really is too soon to really tell properly.
