No flat iron challenge 2016

A straightener/ hasn't touched my hair for a good 6 months. In fact i havent even used any kind of heat on my hair besides blow drying my damp roots before i leave the house so i dont catch a cold. I would like to continue this one for another year.


Who is with me? Starting in 2016 no heat challenge! Besides blow drying your damp (not wet) roots!

I never flat-iron anyway, but a diffuser does touch my hair. It seems rather pointless for me to join, don't you think? Because I'm not exactly "tempted" by a straightener - I mean, at all. :)

I don't have enough hair to use a flat iron, but when my hair is long enough to, I still won't use them. Count me in for this challenge! :)

Congratulations on staying off the flatiron! :) A couple of years ago I used to flat iron my hair everyday, on the highest heat setting and without any heat protectant (I don't really know if heat protectant-products does any difference anyway...). Needless to say my hair did not grow an inch past APL. I hated my natural wave with a passion, but since then I learned to love my natural hair texture and now I am going on my third year free from any kind of heat.

I support you 100%. I quit them over 2 years ago.

I will never use a flat iron again. The only heat my hair gets is from sunlight.

I'm in. I haven't flat ironed or used a blow dryer since June...definitely a difference in the health in my hair! I have virtually no split ends. However, it is tempting to dry and straighten because the air-dried look by no means looks "polished" on me. I'm pretty sure it will be worth it in the end though :)

Wow, a challenge I can actually succeed in!!! Cheating a bit as I don't use a flat iron, but I do own one and used it about twice last year, I also own a hot brush (which I don't use), curling tongs (which I don't use), and a hairdryer that can get as hot as the sun hehe The last one I can promise not to use on high heat, so count me in :)
