Arete's braided heart bun- Tutorial!

Today I stumbled upon this heart looking bun by accident, and thought I'd share it with you guys. Excuse the frizz. Super windy here today!

Step 1: Braid your hair all the way down at the nape of your neck

Step 2: Take the braid and bring it towards the ceiling.

Step 3: Fold the braid over to the side (making the first half of the heart). I'm left handed, so I fold to the left. Fold to the right if you're a righty.

Step 4: Coil the rest of the braid on top of and slightly to the other side of the main braid in the center.

Step 5: Secure with two sticks, spin pins, u-pins, what have you. If you want the center dip more defined, you can add a pin there. Experiment with how big to make the fold, and whether or not you need to tug out the coiled side at all the even things out. Have fun!

If you find you don't have quite enough with starting at the nape, you could try with starting the braid higher.
