Hello everyone,
I don't know if any of you remember me, but I was a member here a few years back. I successfully grew to waist, but recently got bored and decided a short new hairstyle might make me feel more confident and professional in ,y job (I had just been promoted). I liked it for a few months, but it only looked good when I heat styled it, and I quickly began to miss my long hair. I hadn't realised what a big part of my identity it was until it had gone.
Here was my hair last time I was here:

The day I had it cut in June:

And now:

I have cut it myself since the big chop so that the front isn't so much longer than the back.

My current strategy is solgar hair skin and nails (with MSM), healthy eating, minimal heat styling, scalp massages and sulphate free shampoo and conditioner 2-3 times a week.

I really regret the cut, but at least my hair is now 100% dye free.

I am SO right there with you. I too had long WL hair and had it cut to my chin to be more "professional". Oh well... live and learn. We did it once, we can do it again!! :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one!! I quickly realised it didn't make any difference to how professional I felt. Oh well, you do live and learn!

I also have a "professional" job and I feel like the pixie cut gave me an edge. Here's to being yourself - confidence is the key! Happy growing, and lovely pics!

Hi Harriet!! Welcome back to LHC!! I did the big chop to a chin length bob (to 15" length) so I could cut off my dyed brassy length which had grown out to chin length. Did this in March, 2011 and now it is almost at tbl at 34.5 in!! Just put your hair up, coconut oil on the tips everynight, and don't cut it! Now go hide your scissors! ;) Good luck!! IT WILL GROW BACK!! If I did this, so can you!! If it encourages you, please feel free to check out my LHC hair growing journey album on my profile page. :blossom::blossom::blossom:

Thank you! I know how the two toned thing feels! I'm sure you notice it much more than other people though. I got brave with my creaclip and hair clippers (only way to cut behind your head when it's that short). I think one side is ever so slightly longer than the other, but I'm not going to try and even it until it gets longer. I'm wearing it up most of the time so it doesn't really matter! Good luck growing out your henna :-)
