You can braid the extra hair and wrap it around and it becomes a 'Kitty Bun'! :D

I like the sock bun, but I lost my 'rat'. :( Sadness. Oh well, it's somewhere.

In addition to the instructions in the article manderly linked to, the extra hair length can be wrapped around the sockbun, or plaited and wrapped like this (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=583&pictureid=6031). :)

Wow. Got it on my first try but my hair kept separating letting the sock show through. Perhaps
the same circumference but thinner... What was left was enough to make 2 very frayed wrap around braids. :o

I'm going to try this one. I think I will use a black or brown sock so if it's shows through a bit it will be harder to tell. Thanks for the link Manderly!
