So my hair is currently the longest it has ever been (35.25) and i absolutely love it! However, I am not too happy with some of the damage that has accumulated over 2015 and am going to get my mom to trim off an inch for me tonight. My mom has cut my hair before and does an AMAZING job, always takes off as much as i ask, etc but for some reason i am TERRIFIED to get it trimmed. I'm just scared that the scissors will slip and a huge chunk will be chopped off, or it will end up drastically uneven or something. Before i had the mentality that it's just hair and will grow back, but i think after not cutting it for almost a year i've grown so attached to it that the thought of something going wrong is unbearable. My mom has never messed up my hair ever, and she likes it long so im not afraid of it being maliciously cut, just scared of some kind of accident occuring.

Thank you for letting me vent lol! Is anybody the same way?

After gaining so much length I can imagine it's scary to face the scissors. Just think of how much you trust your mom, good experiences with her haircuts in the past, and how fresh and lovely your ends will feel once the damage is gone! To make yourself feel better, maybe ask her to use her fingers to grab the length and show you the part she is going to cut off before she even picks up the scissors. Your hair is certainly long enough to do that :) Best of luck!

Before and after pics? -waggles eyebrows-

Just a quick update!
Finished having it trimmed and it looks good so far haha! I think my mom took off a little less than I asked for haha but that's all good because better less than more!

Just waiting for it to dry and then i'll post an updated measurement and a before/after picture!

Why don't you just cut it yourself?

Probably cause she has a hairdresser who respects her limits  lookin' good Lucy Elizabeth! I will admit learning to cut my own hair was very freeing. Would recommend Faye's Method for self trimming if you're interested :flowers: Happy growing!

LauraAlaina because I don't trust myself enough. I would rather my mom cut it and screw up then me. Just a personal preference.
